3. Full particulars of papers published and of special experience etc., may be furnished in a
separate sheet and attached to this form.
4. The completed form is to be sent to the Secretary, Indian Geophysical Union,
Hyderabad – 500 007, by 30 th September of each year.
5. Fellows : Persons who have a minimum of eight years of professional experience
(research, t eaching or f ield i nvestigation) i n g eophysics s hall be eligible f or F ellowship,
provided a t l east t hree y ears of t his have been s pent in a r esponsible pos ition. T he
possession of a Doctorate Degree from a recognized University or an Institution in India or
abroad in the above subject shall be considered as equivalent to three years experience.
Members : Persons who ar e graduates or otherwise qualified and experienced in
Geophysics, P hysics, G eology, M ineral T echnology and Engineering a nd who ar e
deemed by the Executive Council of the Union to be suitable may be elected as members.
The Committee may also admit to membership persons who have a contributed in some
way to the advancement of Earth Sciences.
6. Membership Fee (to be enclosed along with form)
Life Membership / Life Fellowship : Rs. 5,000/- (INR five thousand only)

Union, Hyderabad.
