President Tony Katopodis called the meeting to<br />
order at 8:03 PM. Tony led the members in the Pledge of<br />
Allegiance and the Conservation Pledge.<br />
Tony acknowledged the Past Presidents in<br />
attendance; Dave Fisher, Skip Worden, Jim Kirn, Dan St.<br />
Aubin and gave a warm wel<strong>com</strong>e to everyone’s Sons!<br />
CHAPLAINS REPORT:<br />
Skip Worden regretfully noted the passing of the following:<br />
Paul Stolar’s Mother Mildred and William Floto Sr. Skip<br />
asked for everyone’s prayers and a moment of silence.<br />
Skip then thanked the crews at the Car Show<br />
events! Come on out and enjoy the cars and volunteer to<br />
help!<br />
Tony then noted the Nominating Committee is<br />
active again, and nominations can be turned into Fred<br />
Coyle.<br />
John LaFave/Cal Kittinger moved to accept the July<br />
General Membership Meeting minutes, as printed in the<br />
Multi-Laker. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY<br />
Rich LaFave/John LaFave moved to accept the June<br />
and July Treasurers Report, as printed in the Multi-Laker.<br />

PRESIDENTS REPORT:<br />
Tony noted the following; - Beef Cookout was a huge<br />
success and a lot of fun for those there; Good Old Days<br />
really needs help, see Gary Chase; Bass Pro Tickets are<br />
now available; Sept. 29 Small Town Low Down magazine<br />
Bike show will be held here, and volunteers are being<br />
sought.<br />
TREASURERS REPORT<br />
Dave thanked Cal and the NRA for the $7500 grant for<br />
JR’s & Women; the Club had a $22,000 profit thru June;<br />
2008 Gun-A-Week tickets are on sale; Finance<br />
Committee needs volunteers; The bar is an important<br />
place at the Club, and we all need to watch our language<br />
and actions around visitors, children, etc..<br />
RECORDING SECRETARY<br />
Matt noted Dylan Willetts thank you for MUCC Camp.<br />
Dylan’s note will be printed in the Multi-Laker.<br />
MEMBERSHIP SECRETARY<br />
Jeff Telford (Jim Ashcraft was vacationing) noted there are<br />
186 Suspended members, and DUES are due for<br />
EVERYONE with a $25 LATE FEE. We have 559 of 1000<br />
members.<br />
EARLY DRAW<br />
Gary Boyd lost out on $130. Next month the prize<br />
grows to $140, plus $25 for wearing the name tag.<br />
VICE PRESIDENTS REPORT<br />
Sam Mullins then noted the following for members;<br />
Fish Fry and Country Breakfasts are doing well; and lastly,<br />
please donate to Can-Do, to help those less fortunate.<br />
Sam then introduced the following speakers:<br />
Tony Serrano – Pheasant Hunt – Tony noted the Nov.<br />
3 rd event was sold out, but a Nov. 4 th event was added.<br />

Gary Regentine – Vegas Night – Oct. 13 th . Bring your<br />
friends and neighbors. 7pm-12am. Volunteers are needed<br />
as dealers/ etc. See Gary.<br />

Jon Lash – SWAP DAY – Sept. 9th<br />
Mike Borst – JR Shotgun Mike noted the JR’s shoot the<br />
1, 2 and 4 th Wed of each month. Mike also asked for<br />
someone to assist and attend the Healing Our Waters<br />
training. See Mike for details.<br />
Bill Brenneke – Combat Pistol –Noted that semi-autos<br />
will be allowed. More info to <strong>com</strong>e.<br />
Adam Rod – Breast Cancer Walk- seeking donations.<br />
Kirt Cooke- Blood Drive; Hunters Ed – Kirt noted we<br />
had 49 pints donated Sunday and 24 signed up as organ<br />
donors. Special thanks to Frank Speckle.<br />
Cal Kittinger - Cal noted the Friends of the NRA Dinner is<br />
Sept. 13; Women On Target Sept. 29. GET YOUR MULTI-<br />
LAKER COPY IN EARLY.<br />
Jeff Whitacre – Running Deer – noted a new moving<br />
target system will be used for a new event. TBD.<br />
Ed Rapin – Wild game Dinner – noted he is taking<br />
donations and the freezers are empty.<br />
Bill Lonsberry – ODR Bill thanked the RO’s for their<br />
efforts; thanked Don Preibe and Jason and Jerry Leech<br />
for the new ramp; ODR needs seamless gutters, so if<br />
anyone can help Sight-in days start the last weekends in<br />
Oct.; Need help for Good Old Days; Bill introduced Jeff<br />
Felts, Centermass, Inc.<br />
Youngest Son – 2 years -10days – William Long.<br />
Oldest Son – “over 60” - Mike McCarty<br />
OLD BUSINESS<br />
Rudy Kirn turned a spry 90 years old! Congrats!<br />
NEW BUSINESS<br />
Tony noted there were 263 in attendance: 158 Members,<br />
6 New Members, 13 Guests, 80 Sons and 4<br />
representatives of Windsor Sportsman Club!<br />
Dan Peltier/Larry Cohorst moved to adjourn the<br />
Business portion of the meeting at 9:00PM. MOTION<br />
CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.<br />
The membership was treated to an informative Canine<br />
demonstration before the meeting by the Oakland County<br />
Sheriffs.<br />
