SEPTEMBER 19 - Multilakes.com

President Tony Katopodis called the meeting to
order at 8:03 PM. Tony led the members in the Pledge of
Allegiance and the Conservation Pledge.
Tony acknowledged the Past Presidents in
attendance; Dave Fisher, Skip Worden, Jim Kirn, Dan St.
Aubin and gave a warm welcome to everyone’s Sons!
CHAPLAINS REPORT:
Skip Worden regretfully noted the passing of the following:
Paul Stolar’s Mother Mildred and William Floto Sr. Skip
asked for everyone’s prayers and a moment of silence.
Skip then thanked the crews at the Car Show
events! Come on out and enjoy the cars and volunteer to
help!
Tony then noted the Nominating Committee is
active again, and nominations can be turned into Fred
Coyle.
John LaFave/Cal Kittinger moved to accept the July
General Membership Meeting minutes, as printed in the
Multi-Laker. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY
Rich LaFave/John LaFave moved to accept the June
and July Treasurers Report, as printed in the Multi-Laker.

PRESIDENTS REPORT:
Tony noted the following; - Beef Cookout was a huge
success and a lot of fun for those there; Good Old Days
really needs help, see Gary Chase; Bass Pro Tickets are
now available; Sept. 29 Small Town Low Down magazine
Bike show will be held here, and volunteers are being
sought.
TREASURERS REPORT
Dave thanked Cal and the NRA for the $7500 grant for
JR’s & Women; the Club had a $22,000 profit thru June;
2008 Gun-A-Week tickets are on sale; Finance
Committee needs volunteers; The bar is an important
place at the Club, and we all need to watch our language
and actions around visitors, children, etc..
RECORDING SECRETARY
Matt noted Dylan Willetts thank you for MUCC Camp.
Dylan’s note will be printed in the Multi-Laker.
MEMBERSHIP SECRETARY
Jeff Telford (Jim Ashcraft was vacationing) noted there are
186 Suspended members, and DUES are due for
EVERYONE with a $25 LATE FEE. We have 559 of 1000
members.
EARLY DRAW
Gary Boyd lost out on $130. Next month the prize
grows to $140, plus $25 for wearing the name tag.
VICE PRESIDENTS REPORT
Sam Mullins then noted the following for members;
Fish Fry and Country Breakfasts are doing well; and lastly,
please donate to Can-Do, to help those less fortunate.
Sam then introduced the following speakers:
Tony Serrano – Pheasant Hunt – Tony noted the Nov.
3 rd event was sold out, but a Nov. 4 th event was added.
See Tony if interested.
Gary Regentine – Vegas Night – Oct. 13 th . Bring your
friends and neighbors. 7pm-12am. Volunteers are needed
as dealers/ etc. See Gary.
Mark Geiger - mark invited members to bring your son’s

Rich Johnson – By-Laws - 1st reading of the proposed
By-Laws change to Article 3, Section 1(h);
Proposed change to the last line; “All Applicants must be
approved by the Board of Directors, on or before the

Jon Lash – SWAP DAY – Sept. 9th
Mike Borst – JR Shotgun Mike noted the JR’s shoot the
1, 2 and 4 th Wed of each month. Mike also asked for
someone to assist and attend the Healing Our Waters
training. See Mike for details.
Bill Brenneke – Combat Pistol –Noted that semi-autos
will be allowed. More info to come.
Adam Rod – Breast Cancer Walk- seeking donations.
Kirt Cooke- Blood Drive; Hunters Ed – Kirt noted we
had 49 pints donated Sunday and 24 signed up as organ
donors. Special thanks to Frank Speckle.
Cal Kittinger - Cal noted the Friends of the NRA Dinner is
Sept. 13; Women On Target Sept. 29. GET YOUR MULTI-
LAKER COPY IN EARLY.
Jeff Whitacre – Running Deer – noted a new moving
target system will be used for a new event. TBD.
Ed Rapin – Wild game Dinner – noted he is taking
donations and the freezers are empty.
Bill Lonsberry – ODR Bill thanked the RO’s for their
efforts; thanked Don Preibe and Jason and Jerry Leech
for the new ramp; ODR needs seamless gutters, so if
anyone can help Sight-in days start the last weekends in
Oct.; Need help for Good Old Days; Bill introduced Jeff
Felts, Centermass, Inc.
Youngest Son – 2 years -10days – William Long.
Oldest Son – “over 60” - Mike McCarty
OLD BUSINESS
Rudy Kirn turned a spry 90 years old! Congrats!
NEW BUSINESS
Tony noted there were 263 in attendance: 158 Members,
6 New Members, 13 Guests, 80 Sons and 4
representatives of Windsor Sportsman Club!
Dan Peltier/Larry Cohorst moved to adjourn the
Business portion of the meeting at 9:00PM. MOTION
CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
The membership was treated to an informative Canine
demonstration before the meeting by the Oakland County
Sheriffs.
