INTRODUCTION<br />
This <strong>Procedure</strong> defines the roles and responsibilities of staff <strong>at</strong> the <strong>IFBI</strong> center. The<br />
CH/AC maintains an organiz<strong>at</strong>ion chart <strong>for</strong> his/her team which mentions the Name,<br />
D<strong>at</strong>e of Joining and Role currently being handled by the employee.<br />
An employee can hold more than one role. In the event of the non-availability or<br />
absenteeism of an employee holding a particular role, the responsibilities of the role get<br />
autom<strong>at</strong>ically deleg<strong>at</strong>ed upwards to the immedi<strong>at</strong>e supervisor.<br />
Any responsibility specified against a role may also be undertaken by another person specifically<br />
nomin<strong>at</strong>ed / design<strong>at</strong>ed by the role holder <strong>for</strong> the purpose<br />
Details<br />
Faculty - FAC<br />
The academic and administr<strong>at</strong>ive roles and responsibilities of faculty engaged in <strong>IFBI</strong> centre(s) as<br />
well as <strong>at</strong> clients’ site are given hereunder. The guidelines are indic<strong>at</strong>ive and are not exhaustive.<br />
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<br />
1. The faculty should ensure coverage of sessions as per learning plan / milestone.<br />
2. The faculty should ensure th<strong>at</strong> there are no slippages in delivery i.e. time overrun.<br />
3. Faculty should conduct class room delivery, ISAS, Book Review, Assignments, Projects,<br />
Viva and Modular Examin<strong>at</strong>ions as per methodology.<br />
4. Faculty should assist the B<strong>at</strong>ch Coordin<strong>at</strong>or in conducting evalu<strong>at</strong>ions, upload them in<br />
LMS and report any discrepancies to the B<strong>at</strong>ch Coordin<strong>at</strong>or.<br />
5. Faculty should assist the B<strong>at</strong>ch Coordin<strong>at</strong>ors in smooth <strong>com</strong>pletion of the learning plan.<br />
6. Faculty should undergo practice tests and report any discrepancies.<br />
7. Faculty should contribute towards building practice tests / modular examin<strong>at</strong>ions.<br />
Faculty should be well conversant with LMS and respond to queries raised by students<br />
in the LMS.<br />
8. Faculty should particip<strong>at</strong>e in weekly / <strong>for</strong>tnightly / monthly review meetings.<br />

9. Faculty should particip<strong>at</strong>e in FACCON whenever organized. Faculty should ensure<br />
students particip<strong>at</strong>ion in all activities outlined in the milestone – whether inside or<br />
outside the centre, and report to the B<strong>at</strong>ch Coordin<strong>at</strong>or in case of any student absence.<br />
10. Faculty should ensure th<strong>at</strong> appropri<strong>at</strong>e discipline is maintained in the class room and<br />
report to the B<strong>at</strong>ch Coordin<strong>at</strong>or any incident th<strong>at</strong> mars the decorum of the class.<br />
11. Faculty should intim<strong>at</strong>e to the B<strong>at</strong>ch Coordin<strong>at</strong>or in case of absence of student(s) during<br />
the session.<br />
ADMINISTRATIVE GUIDELINES:<br />
1. Faculty should be punctual to the office as per the arrival time advised by the<br />
Academic Coordin<strong>at</strong>or.<br />
2. Faculty will be scheduled <strong>for</strong> 5 hours of educ<strong>at</strong>ional delivery and 3 hours of<br />
knowledge upd<strong>at</strong>e / administr<strong>at</strong>ive assignments pertaining to educ<strong>at</strong>ional delivery<br />
every day.<br />
3. Faculty should use their iniitian id and should be well conversant with the usage of<br />
iniitian.<strong>com</strong><br />
4. Faculty should have a NIIT mail id and use the same <strong>for</strong> correspondence. The rules<br />
regarding sending emails should be adhered to.<br />
5. Faculty should have LMS id and are expected to log in to LMS once a day, <strong>at</strong> least.<br />
6. In case of non availability of (3) / (4) / (5), they should in<strong>for</strong>m the Academic<br />
Coordin<strong>at</strong>or to get the same.<br />
ACADEMIC GUIDELINES:<br />
1. Faculty should be well conversant with the milestone and delivery methodology as<br />
outlined in the Coordin<strong>at</strong>or Guide and should pre-plan and execute educ<strong>at</strong>ional<br />
delivery accordingly.<br />
2. Faculty is also required to be conversant with student guide, assignments, web based<br />
learning and other additional study m<strong>at</strong>erial which the students undergo in their<br />
curriculum.<br />
3. Faculty should be conversant with conduct and evalu<strong>at</strong>ion of ISAS as per<br />
Methodology outlined and familiar with all the topics th<strong>at</strong> are given in ISAS.<br />

4. Faculty should be conversant with conduct and evalu<strong>at</strong>ion of Book Review as per<br />
Methodology outlined and should have read all the books prescribed in Book<br />
Review.<br />
5. Faculty should go through all the web learning modules and be conversant with<br />
them.<br />
6. Faculty should familiarize themselves with use of Microsoft Office - PowerPoint,<br />
Excel and Word.<br />
7. Faculty should familiarize themselves with use of Open Office Org – Writer, Calc<br />
and Impress.<br />
8. Faculty should report any faults in the class / machine room such as malfunctioning<br />
of AC, light, system to the B<strong>at</strong>ch Coordin<strong>at</strong>or.<br />
9. Faculty should ensure th<strong>at</strong> the white board used during the session is wiped off<br />
be<strong>for</strong>e leaving the class room. Dried out pen(s) should be thrown in the dustbin.<br />
10. The system provided in the class room is <strong>for</strong> the use of faculty only. Faculty should<br />
ensure th<strong>at</strong> they protect the system with appropri<strong>at</strong>e password and prevent student<br />
use of the same.<br />
11. If the screen is used <strong>for</strong> projecting slides, then the same should be pushed back after<br />
the session is over.<br />
12. Faculty should ensure th<strong>at</strong> the screen is not used <strong>for</strong> writing with permanent / white<br />
board marker.<br />
B<strong>at</strong>ch Coordin<strong>at</strong>or<br />
In addition to the roles and responsibilities as well as academic and administr<strong>at</strong>ive guidelines as<br />
outlined <strong>for</strong> a Faculty, the following also apply to the B<strong>at</strong>ch Coordin<strong>at</strong>or.<br />
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<br />
1. Ensure conduct of b<strong>at</strong>ch as per milestone and without slippages.<br />
2. Where slippage occurs, in<strong>for</strong>m the Academic Coordin<strong>at</strong>or immedi<strong>at</strong>ely <strong>for</strong> taking<br />
corrective action.<br />

3. In<strong>for</strong>m student absence to Academic Coordin<strong>at</strong>or and source leave letter from the<br />
student upon resumption <strong>for</strong> leave approval.<br />
4. Ensure control over student drop outs due to academic reasons.<br />
5. Ensure timely conduct of ISAS, Book Review, Practice Tests, Modular Exams, online<br />
Feedback, Assignments, Web based learning, Project alloc<strong>at</strong>ion, Viva and evalu<strong>at</strong>ion<br />
/ <strong>com</strong>pletion of the same through upload in LMS.<br />
6. Ensure th<strong>at</strong> student <strong>at</strong>tendance is marked in LMS on a daily basis.<br />
7. Provide info on sessions handled by faculty in your b<strong>at</strong>ch to the Academic<br />
Coordin<strong>at</strong>or <strong>for</strong> feedback purposes.<br />
8. In<strong>for</strong>m Academic Coordin<strong>at</strong>or upon <strong>com</strong>pletion of a kit to enable the Academic<br />
Coordin<strong>at</strong>or to carry out MOAF.<br />
9. Discuss with the Academic Coordin<strong>at</strong>or <strong>for</strong> corrective action based on the out<strong>com</strong>e of<br />
MOAF and Feedback.<br />
10. Ensure th<strong>at</strong> faculty deployed <strong>for</strong> a session in your b<strong>at</strong>ch is available and in time.<br />
11. Ensure b<strong>at</strong>ch closures as per learning plan.<br />
12. Respond to student queries in LMS.<br />
13. Mark student <strong>at</strong>tendance in all the programs outlined in the milestone, both class<br />
room and outside the class room sessions.<br />
14. Bring to the notice of Academic Coordin<strong>at</strong>or, non availability of courseware to<br />
students.<br />
15. Ensure timely reminders in collection of fee from students.<br />

Academic Coordin<strong>at</strong>or<br />
In addition to the roles and responsibilities as well as academic and administr<strong>at</strong>ive guidelines as<br />
outlined <strong>for</strong> a faculty, the following also apply to the Academic Coordin<strong>at</strong>or.<br />
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<br />
1. Ensure th<strong>at</strong> B<strong>at</strong>ch Coordin<strong>at</strong>ors conduct b<strong>at</strong>ches as per milestone and without<br />
slippages.<br />
2. Ensure systems and process adherence by faculty team.<br />
3. Ensure collection of field level feedback and action on short<strong>com</strong>ings. Share the info<br />
with NH-ED.<br />
4. Motiv<strong>at</strong>e the faculty team <strong>for</strong> per<strong>for</strong>mance excellence.<br />
5. Where slippage occurs in milestone in a b<strong>at</strong>ch, take corrective action and report the<br />
same to the NH-ED.<br />
6. In<strong>for</strong>m student absence beyond 3 days in a cycle to the NH-ED and obtain leave<br />
approval.<br />
7. Ensure th<strong>at</strong> there are no student drop outs due to academic reasons.<br />
8. Ensure timely conduct by the B<strong>at</strong>ch Coordin<strong>at</strong>ors, ISAS, Book Review, Practice Tests,<br />
Modular Exams, online Feedback, Assignments, Web based learning, Project<br />
alloc<strong>at</strong>ion, Viva and evalu<strong>at</strong>ion / <strong>com</strong>pletion of the same through upload in LMS.<br />
9. Ensure th<strong>at</strong> student <strong>at</strong>tendance is marked in LMS on a daily basis by the B<strong>at</strong>ch<br />
Coordin<strong>at</strong>ors.<br />
10. Obtain Report of Sessions Handled by Faculty from the B<strong>at</strong>ch Coordin<strong>at</strong>ors <strong>for</strong><br />
feedback purposes and <strong>for</strong>ward the same to NEAH with a copy to NH-ED.<br />
11. Carry out MOAF upon <strong>com</strong>pletion of a kit and discuss with the B<strong>at</strong>ch Coordin<strong>at</strong>or /<br />
Faculty concerned <strong>for</strong> corrective action based on the out<strong>com</strong>e of MOAF and<br />
Feedback. Keep NH-ED in<strong>for</strong>med of action taken in this regard.<br />
12. Ensure th<strong>at</strong> faculty deployed <strong>for</strong> sessions are available and are in time to and from<br />
the class room.<br />
13. Ensure b<strong>at</strong>ch closures as per learning plan.<br />

20. Interview prospective students as per outlined methodology<br />
21. Interview candid<strong>at</strong>es <strong>for</strong> faculty position as per outlined methodology<br />
22. Ensure smooth <strong>com</strong>pletion of hand / take over process in case of change in B<strong>at</strong>ch<br />
Coordin<strong>at</strong>or / Faculty<br />
23. Monitor faculty per<strong>for</strong>mance through Class Room Session Observ<strong>at</strong>ion Form and<br />
take appropri<strong>at</strong>e steps <strong>for</strong> corrective action by discussing with the faculty concerned.<br />
Also send a copy of the report with action proposed and taken to NH-ED.<br />

academic oper<strong>at</strong>ions in accordance with <strong>IFBI</strong> policies.<br />
QMS <strong>Responsibilities</strong>:<br />
1. Front Office<br />
1. Handling issues of amendments to contract, approving and authorizing l<strong>at</strong>e<br />
admissions.<br />
2. Carrying of the responsibility of a COS (Front Office Counselor / Academic<br />
Executive)<br />
3. Monitor and review the counseling, testing and the registr<strong>at</strong>ion processes as per<br />
Handbook of Norms.<br />
4. Ensuring th<strong>at</strong> all enquiries are provided the Student Rule Book – Student<br />
Oblig<strong>at</strong>ions.<br />
5. Particip<strong>at</strong>ion in the discussions and deliber<strong>at</strong>ions of Centre Review and other<br />
marketing <strong>for</strong>ums.<br />
6. Plan b<strong>at</strong>ch launches and ensure th<strong>at</strong> adequ<strong>at</strong>e m<strong>at</strong>erials like courseware exist –<br />
and in co-ordin<strong>at</strong>ion with Academic Co-ordin<strong>at</strong>or ensure th<strong>at</strong> faculty is alloc<strong>at</strong>ed<br />

4. Back office<br />
1. Planning <strong>for</strong> courseware and marketing m<strong>at</strong>erial on a rolling 3 month basis.<br />
2. Ensuring the availability of service infrastructure, service m<strong>at</strong>erials and trained<br />
personnel <strong>for</strong> smooth service delivery.<br />
3. Approving and authorizing new schedule of student assessments <strong>for</strong> individual<br />
students<br />
4. Ensure student s<strong>at</strong>isfaction with Internship and Placement services of the centre<br />
5. Monitor <strong>com</strong>pletion of all student services <strong>at</strong> the time of Final Inspection.<br />
