Figure 22 shows the dominance of A. marina throughout the mangal and Table 7 shows that A. marina accounts for the highest density of any of the species in one quadrat. By multiplying this by the area of the mangal (~90ha) an assessment of the total number of trees in the mangal can be made. A. marina was the most abundant species in the mangal with an estimated number of 1,051,110 ± 381,780 trees including adults, saplings and seedlings, followed by C. tagal with 244,530 ± 140,760 trees. R. mucronata had 2,250 ± 3,420 trees, B. gymnorrhiza had 540 ± 720 trees, L. racemosa had 180 ± 270 trees and X. granatum was the least abundant species in the mangal with only 1 tree count. These results are shown in Figure 23 to Figure 25 and Table 8.
