the transferee will assume the dues responsibility of the class of
member into which they fall. Further, a member transferring to
a class enjoying a lower dues category shall not be granted a
reduction in dues.
B. Other Membership Classes
1. If the marriage of a member is dissolved, the member
may transfer the membership to the former spouse.
2. An Honorary Membership is not transferable.
Section 2: Transfer on Death
A. Equity Members:
An Equity Membership terminates on the death of the member
and the surviving spouse automatically becomes an Equity
Member with all of the obligations and privileges of that
membership. The surviving spouse shall have 90 days to decide
if they wish to 1) continue as an Equity Member, or 2) to
become a Social Member, or 3) to resign as a member of any
category. If the surviving spouse wishes to become a Social
Member, they may immediately resign as an Equity Member and
join as a Social Member and their equity shall be added to the
waiting list of resigned members waiting for a return of equity. If
they wish to resign as any category of membership and sever any
relationship with the Club, their equity will be added to the list of
resigned members waiting for a return of equity. In the event of
item (2) above their dues will convert to the then current dues of
a Social Membership and they will be required to pay the
remaining yearly dues in the month following this decision. If
they have pre-paid dues as an Equity Member and those dues
exceed the amount of dues of a Social Member, they shall
receive a refund of any amount which exceeds the required
Social Membership dues. In the event of (3) above their dues and
minimums shall cease in the month following that decision and
the equity shall be added to the waiting list of members for the
return of equity. Their Dues and minimums will cease the first
day of the month following the decision and any pre paid dues
for Equity Members will be refunded pro rata to the estate.
