prevents compliance with the above rules may request a “blue flag” by submitting a letter with a doctors’ certification to the Golf Committee. Upon the committee’s approval, the golf shop will be notified to have a flag placed on the cart. The Head Golf Professional will maintain a list of members requiring a “blue flag”. The Golf Committee will regularly review the member’s physical condition to validate continued need for the flag. The following rules must be observed: Carts must remain 30 feet from the green. Carts must remain on the cart path by the teeing ground. Upon the approval of the Golf Committee and the Board of Directors a member may purchase a special riding handicap cart to enable one with a physical disability to play golf. The above rules are not applicable to the special riding handicap cart and the cart is permitted on the green. HANDICAPS: The GHIN Handicap System provides Handicap Indexes to members. Handicaps are revised on the 1 st and 15 th of the month. A notebook containing member’s handicaps is located near the golf shop. POSTING SCORES: Scorecards must be completed with name, date and scores adjusted according to Equitable Stroke Control. Scores must be posted for every round of golf played at home or away. Please post scores in the Golf Shop on the day of play or correct the date when posting later. ALL away scores must be posted (include Course Rating and Slope Rating of course played)
Scorecards must be placed in the box adjacent to the computer. Tournament Scores will be designated by specific committees. The scores will be posted by golf shop personnel and entered as “T-scores”. The Handicap Committee will review member’s scoring records. If a player fails to post a score the Handicap Committee will post the score and/or a penalty score equal to the lowest Handicap Differential in the player’s scoring record. If the score not returned is unusually high, the Committee will post the score and/or a penalty score equal to the highest Handicap Differential in the player’s scoring record. The Handicap Committee will communicate with players who fail to post scores. GOLFERS UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE Golfers under the age of 18 who walk and carry their golf bag will not be charged a cart fee. Golfers under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent or an adult. DRESS: Proper golf attire for the golf course and practice areas is as follows: Golf shoes must have soft spikes. Slacks, shorts or skirts and golf shirts; shorts and skirt lengths must not exceed 5 inches above the top of the knee cap. The following are not acceptable: jean-style attire, bathing attire, tee shirts, gym shirts, tank tops, tube tops, halter tops, mesh shirts, cut-offs, coaching shorts, tennis shorts, tennis dresses or skirts.
