Dear Visitation Parish Family,
I want to invite all who are interested offering your gift of music at our Masses to join one of our musical ensembles and
become part of our Music Ministry. Please contact me to set up a personal interview—630-834-8190 or b.masters@visitationparish.org.
Dates and starting times for each choir are listed below and on our Parish Website on the Music Ministry tab.
A year–long schedule will be available at the first rehearsal and will also be posted on the Parish Website.
All choirs rehearse in the Choir Room in the Lower Level of the Parish Center.
Adult Choir Sings every Sunday September to June at the 10:00 A.M. Mass and on Feast Days. Rehearsals are
Tuesdays 7:00–9:00 P.M. First rehearsal is Tuesday, September 10, 2013.
High School Chorale Sings three weekend Masses per month and on Feast Days. Rehearsals are Mondays 8:00–9:00 P.M.
First rehearsal is Monday, August 26.
Children’s Choir For students grades 3–8. Sings two weekend Masses per month and on Feast Days. Rehearsals are
Wednesdays 3:30–4:20 P.M. First rehearsal is Wednesday, Sept. 4.
Parish Brass Plays on Christmas and Easter and on special occasions. Rehearsal times TBA. Contact Director, Ed

The Assumption of the Blessed
Virgin Mary into Heaven is August
15. We celebrate this Holy Day of
Obligation by partaking in the Holy
Sacrifice of the Mass. Another way
we can joyfully celebrate this day is
by visiting the Our Lady, Mother of
the Eucharist Perpetual Adoration
Chapel. Let Our Lady bring you closer
to Heaven, to adore Her Son, Jesus
in the Blessed Sacrament. She wants
nothing more than to help nurture
your relationship with Her Beloved Son. Our Blessed
Mother loves each one of us more than we could ever imagine.
She is the ultimate example of a caring and loving
mother to each one of Her children here on Earth. In return,
show your love for your Heavenly Mother by allowing our
Blessed Mother Mary to enter your heart and bring you
closer to Jesus. Spend some time in Heaven yourself and
visit the Adoration Chapel. The feelings of happiness and
peace and the graces you will receive from Our Lord and
Our Lady will be abundant!

CCW Corner
Coming Soon! Save the Date!
August 20—Back by popular (parents) demand! First day of
school for Visitation School kids. The CCW will host a Back to
School coffee and. . . in Valentino Center for parents and
youngsters not attending school yet from 9:00–10:00 A.M., while
they wait for older children/siblings to return with their classroom
and teacher assignments for the school year. For more

the Parish Center after the 8:15 A.M. morning Mass for coffee
and . . .and a presentation by Kathy Heskin, Professor of
Pastoral Ministry at Dominican University. Professor Heskin
will speak about the “Spirituality of Grandparenting.”
