His Excellency the Governor of Goa, Shri K. Sankaranarayanan
addressed the House.
(After the Address, the House adjourned at 12 08 pm and resumed
its sitting after lunch.)
House resumed its sitting at 2 30 pm.
2. LAYING OF A COPY OF THE ADDRESS BY THE

SECRETARY laid a copy of the Address by the Governor on the
Table of the House.

3. OBITUARY REFERENCES.
SHRI RAJENDRA V. ARLEKAR, HON'BLE SPEAKER
made obituary references to the followings-
(1) Shri Jaisinghrao V. Rane, ex-MLA of the First Legislative
Assembly of Goa, Daman and Diu from Sattari Constituency, a
veteran freedom fighter, social reformer and noted historian
who passed away on 23 rd January,2012.
(2) Shri Narsinhbhai Lallubhai Tandel, ex-MLA of the Fifth
Legislative Assembly of Goa, Daman and Diu who passed
away on is" January,2012.
(3) Padma Vibhushan late Shri Mario Miranda, a legendary
cartoonist, an iconic genius artist whose distinctive and
original style of art and illustrations in their own inimitable
style adorn books all over the globe, who passed away on 11th
December,20 11.
(4) Shri Narayan alias Nana Shirgaonkar, a renowned Goan music
teacher, harmonium player and bhajan artiste with an in depth
knowledge of Indian Classical Music, who passed away on
16 th December, 2011.
(5) Shri Narendra Bodke, an eminent journalist, poet, author and a
literary critic in Marathi and Konkani Literature, recipient of
the prestigious Maharashtra State Sahitya Parishad and the
Goa Kala Academy Awards, who passed away on r: January,
2012.
(6) Renowned music maestro late Shri Anthony Gonsalves, an
eminent music composer and teacher and recipient of the
prestigious Karmaveer Puraskar, who passed away on 18 th
January, 2012.

(7) The Calvim -Aldona bus tragedy mishap resulting in the death
of six persons including four primary school children after a
mini bus plunged into Calvim river on 18 th February, 2012.
(8) The tragic school bus mishap at Usgao causing the death of
three persons including a school girl on s" March,20 12.

YEAR 2011-2012(SECOND BATCID.
(i) SHRI MANOHAR PARRIKAR, Chief Minister presented
the Supplementary Demands for Grants for the year 2011-
2012(Second Batch)
(ii) Discussion and Voting on the Supplementary Demands for
Grants for the year 2011-2012.
The Suplementary Demands for Grants for the year 2011-2012
(Second Batch) were put to vote and passed.

6. INTRODUCTION, CONSIDERATION AND PASSING OF
THE GOA APPROPRIATION BILL, 2012(RELATING TO
THE SUPPLEMENTARY DEMANDS FOR THE YEAR 2011-
2012(SECOND BATCH).
SHRI MANOHAR PARRIKAR, Chief Minister moved for
leave to introduce the Goa Appropriation Bill, 2012. The leave was
granted and the Bill was introduced.
SHRI MANOHAR PARRIKAR, Chief Minister moved that
the Goa Appropriation Bill, 2012 be taken into consideration.
The motion for consideration of the Bill was put to vote and
adopted.
Clauses 2, 3, the Schedule, Clause 1, the enacting formula and the
long title were put to vote and adopted.
The motion for passing of the Bill was put to vote and adopted.
