Correctional Institution at Sheridan, Oregon, and his son NATHANIEL JAMES NICHOLSON,<br />

who resides in Eugene, Oregon. As described below, the evidence will establish that while<br />

serving a federal prison sentence for Conspiracy to Commit Espionage, HAROLD JAMES<br />

NICHOLSON has continued his illegal contact with a foreign government by utilizing his son<br />

NATHANIEL JAMES NICHOLSON to facilitate these contacts.<br />

PURPOSE OF AFFIDAVIT<br />

3. This <strong>affidavit</strong> is submitted in support of search warrants for the following<br />

locations, person and vehicle more particularly described in Attachments A through E:<br />

A) The residence of Nathaniel James Nicholson, located at Heron Meadows<br />

Apartments, 4815 Unthank Avenue, Apartment 388, Eugene, Oregon 97402.<br />

A Blue 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier, bearing Vehicle Identification Number<br />

1G1 JF52F857110139, Oregon License Dl2 0516, registered to Nathaniel J.<br />

Nicholson, 4815 Unthank Avenue, Apartment 388, Eugene, Oregon 97402.<br />

C) The person of Nathaniel James Kicholson, who is a white male, height 5'8",<br />

approximately of birth July 31, 1984.<br />

D) Federal Correctional Institute, Sheridan, Oregon, Unit 4B, Cell 205L, occupied by<br />

Harold J. Nicholson and cellm e Kyle Minchey inmate # 12869-081.<br />

E) The residence of Marvin C. Nicholson and Beairice M. Nicholson located at 1699<br />

North Teny Street, Space 161, Eugene, Oregon 97402.<br />

bable cause to believe that NATHANIEL JAMES NICHOLSON<br />

(hereinafter NATHANIEL) and his father HAROLD JAMES NICHOLSON (hereinafter<br />

NICHOLSON) have committed violations of Title 18, United States Code, 5 951, to knowingly
