FOREWORD<br />
<strong>Meher</strong> <strong>Baba</strong> has said,<br />
“I have come<br />
not to teach<br />
but to awaken.”<br />
Nevertheless, throughout the years, <strong>Meher</strong> <strong>Baba</strong>, the silent<br />
<strong>Avatar</strong> of the age, dictated on his alphabet board, and through<br />
his own unique mudras or hand gestures, a great deal of material<br />
about the various aspects of the Spiritual Path and its goal –<br />
God-Realization. Much of this material he gave to the Awakener<br />
Magazine, founded in 1953 to carry his message of love and<br />
truth to the West. It is this material which we have the privilege<br />
of reprinting here.<br />
While reading it, one must bear in mind that <strong>Meher</strong> <strong>Baba</strong>’s<br />
viewpoint is not that of an ordinary philosopher, thinker, or even<br />
advanced soul on the Path. His point of view is that of one who<br />
has realized the truth of God’s Infinite Knowledge, Power, and
