DOUGLASS G. LUTZ (Music and Vocal
Direction) has conducted more than 125
productions across the United States and internationally.
WST credits include Fiddler on the
Roof, The Producers, Les Misérables, Carousel,
Miss Saigon (all Barrymore nominations),
Love Story, and West Side Story, among others.
Doug won the Carbonell Award for outstanding
music direction of The Most Happy Fella at The
Jupiter Theatre. Many thanks to Bernard, Mark,

ANNA LOUIZOS (Scenic Design) designed
the original Broadway production and national
tour of In the Heights (Tony nomination).

ED CHAPMAN (Sound Design) happily joins
the team at Walnut Street Theatre. Sound design
work includes The Joker’s Game (China),
Barrington Stage Company, Weston Playhouse,
Atlanta Theatre of the Stars, Indianapolis
Symphony Orchestra, Theatre Under the Stars,
and American Pops Orchestra (Japan). Mr.
Chapman has been the production sound engineer
on Broadway, national touring companies,
and is currently production sound engineer for
The Trip to Bountiful, starring Cicely Tyson.
Mr. Chapman sends much love and thanks to
his family—Kate, Mary Ann, Johnny and Eddie.
DEBI MARCUCCI (Stage Manager) A South
Philly native, Debi has worked her way up
through the ranks here at WST over the past 22
years and is now in her 16th season serving as
Mainstage SM. She also loves directing and has
directed the musical No Way To Treat A Lady
(Alpine Theatre Project), The Ugly One, Lobby
Hero, and Mr. Bailey’s Minder (WST’s Studio
3) and was assistant director on Good People
and Buddy (Walnut Mainstage). Love to her
beautiful fiancé Chris.
LORI AGHAZARIAN (Stage Manager) This
is Lori’s eighth season here at the Walnut. Prior
to joining WST, Lori spent seven seasons as
PSM at the Prince Music Theater. Freelance
credits include Wilma Theater, Opera Co. of
Phila., Pig Iron Theatre Co., 1812 Productions,
PTC, and the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center.
In addition to stage managing, Lori spent five
years as the box office manager for the Philadelphia
Live Arts Festival/Philly Fringe.
JOEL MARKUS (Production Manager) This is
Joel’s third season at the Walnut. Other credits:
ten seasons at the Indiana Repertory Theatre;
four years at Geva Theatre Center in Rochester,
NY; five summers at the Weston Playhouse in
Vermont; American Players Theatre in Spring
Green, Wisconsin; and North Shore Music
Theatre in Beverly, Massachusetts. He is a graduate
of Indiana University and originally from
Miami, Florida. Joel is honored to work at such
an amazing place and is proud of the skill and
