PERMIT REQUIREMENTS/RESTRICTIONS
Orange County requires the applicant to provide proof of insurance coverage.
Permit <strong>application</strong>s must be received by the County at least 48 hours prior to the
move.
The County reserves the right to inspect any load at any time at it’s sole
discretion.
This <strong>permit</strong> does not apply to roads or structures with posted weight / load
limitations.
Oversize <strong>loads</strong> transported on county roads without posted load limitations shall
be subject to M.O T. <strong>permit</strong> conditions with regard to axle loading, including
seasonal limitations.
The applicant is advised that this <strong>permit</strong> is void on any Orange County roads that
are under construction at the time of the move.
The owner and /or mover of the load being moved shall indemnify and shall hold
harmless the County against any actions, claims, damages, loss, actions, or
proceedings, attributed to the issuance of this <strong>permit</strong>.
The <strong>permit</strong> holder must contact any affected utility company at least 48 hours
prior to the move to arrange <strong>for</strong> any protection or alteration of their facilities.
The <strong>permit</strong> holder is responsible to arrange <strong>for</strong> personal or police escort, if
required.
The <strong>permit</strong> holder is responsible <strong>for</strong> flags/markers on overhanging <strong>loads</strong>.
The <strong>permit</strong> holder is responsible to ensure that any overhead obstructions are
clear.
The <strong>permit</strong> holder is responsible <strong>for</strong> checking their proposed route prior to
commencing their move to ensure there are no obstructions of any kind.
The <strong>permit</strong> holder is solely responsible to ensure that all applicable regulations
shall be complied with at all times, including but not limited to, all employees,
owners and sub-contractors utilized by the <strong>permit</strong> holder.
THIS PERMIT MUST BE CARRIED IN VEHICLE WHEN MOVING A LOAD
This <strong>permit</strong> may be cancelled without prior notice and automatically terminated if any of
the above conditions have been violated.
