Clutch Assemblies
When accepting a clutch cover assembly – Look for:
1. Broken or cracked cover
2. Missing components (cover, pressure
plate or supplied bearing assembly)
3. Extremely worn, warped or heat checked
pressure plate
4. Damage by non-operational causes such
as fire, rust or rough handling
5. Eaton/Spicer self-adjusting clutch cover
core will be credited at one part damaged
or half core credit
Applicable Credit:
a. If none of the above conditions exist,
full credit is applicable.
b. If one of the above conditions exist,
seventy percent (70%) credit is applicable.
c. If two of the above conditions exist,
thirty percent (30%) credit is applicable.
d. If more than two of the above
conditions exist, no credit is applicable.
e. No credit will be issued for
disassembled cover assemblies or
for those subject to extreme heat
or heavy rust.
f. Cover assembly cores with cracked,
broken, grooved or otherwise damaged
pressure plates and/or flywheel rings
(covers) are not acceptable for credit.
Be sure the clutch assembly is in an active core
group within the Midland Remanufactured Program.
