Clutch Assemblies<br />
When accepting a clutch cover assembly – Look for:<br />
1. Broken or cracked cover<br />
2. Missing components (cover, pressure<br />
plate or supplied bearing assembly)<br />
3. Extremely worn, warped or heat checked<br />
pressure plate<br />
4. Damage by non-operational causes such<br />
as fire, rust or rough handling<br />
5. Eaton/Spicer self-adjusting clutch cover<br />
core will be credited at one part damaged<br />
or half core credit<br />
Applicable Credit:<br />
a. If none of the above conditions exist,<br />
full credit is applicable.<br />
b. If one of the above conditions exist,<br />
seventy percent (70%) credit is applicable.<br />
c. If two of the above conditions exist,<br />
thirty percent (30%) credit is applicable.<br />
d. If more than two of the above<br />
conditions exist, no credit is applicable.<br />
e. No credit will be issued for<br />
disassembled cover assemblies or<br />
for those subject to extreme heat<br />
or heavy rust.<br />
f. Cover assembly cores with cracked,<br />
broken, grooved or otherwise damaged<br />
pressure plates and/or flywheel rings<br />
(covers) are not acceptable for credit.<br />
Be sure the clutch assembly is in an active core<br />
group within the Midland Remanufactured Program.<br />
