11.1.4 On payment of all outstanding subscriptions, the right to obtain a copy of this<br />
constitution free of charge and upon request from the Society, and the right to<br />
purchase items of clothing and equipment from the Society.<br />
Voting Rights<br />
11.2 Each member of the Society shall have a vote at any general or regional meeting<br />
of the Society, and any meeting of a committee of which he/she is a member,<br />
except:<br />
11.2.1 members attending a general or regional meeting who have not yet paid their<br />
subscriptions for the current year.<br />
11.2.2 suspended members.<br />
11.2.3 Junior <strong>Referee</strong> Society Members, as mentioned in para 7.1.2 above.<br />
11.2.4 members who have been members of the Society for less than six months.<br />
11.3 The chairman of any meeting shall have a casting vote in addition to his ordinary<br />
vote.<br />
11.4 Except where otherwise stated in this constitution, decisions at a meeting of the<br />
Society shall be taken by simple majority. No vote may be cast by proxy. No<br />
ballot paper for the election of any members of the Committee or the Performance<br />
Review Subcommittee shall be invalid merely because the voter votes for fewer<br />
candidates than there are vacancies.<br />
12. DUTIES OF MEMBERS<br />
12.1 The following is expected of each member:<br />
12.1.1 Support of the Society and his colleagues in the pursuit of the Society's objects.<br />
12.1.2 Avoidance of open criticism of his colleagues and particularly the performance of<br />
a fellow member in any match.<br />
12.2 The following is expected of each referee:<br />
12.2.1 Attendance as regularly as possible at the Society's meetings.<br />
12.2.2. Submission to such theoretical or practical exams or fitness tests as the<br />
Committee may deem necessary.
