Provides sample scripts for GXS, TRADANET, IBM, and BT EDI*Net. IP Exchange (IX) Module JAVA Upgrade This enhancement replaces the C++ client with a newer Java client. This change provides an interface that is more reliable, is easier to maintain and troubleshoot, and is more portable for future development. Important: If you are using the IP Exchange module, install the Java Developer Kit 1.4 before you update TrustedLink to 6.1.x. BizManager Interface (BZ) Module The BizManager Interface (BZ) module is part of the TrustedLink base product (previously delivered on a separate CD) and is enhanced so you can copy the BZ network module. You can also launch the BizManager User interface from BizManager icon on any TrustedLink menu. “Position to” on the Communications Session Status Display TrustedLink is enhanced to Position to by date or session ID in the Communication Session Status display. 20 Release Notes
V6.1.0 New Features and Enhancements Additional Sort Options in Trading Partner Maintenance Lists TrustedLink is enhanced to sort by the trading partner relationship description in the trading partner relationship display. A name sort was added to the address book display. Inbound Syntax Checking—Translation Error Handling TrustedLink is enhanced to check for additional inbound translation errors including errors based on Syntax Notes. You can activate this feature by using the Additional Syntax Checks option through the visual mapper. Additional syntax checks can be applied to any inbound translation format regardless of the standard of the format. Additional syntax checks include: ■ Segment and element requirements ■ Element data type ■ Element maximum length ■ Syntax Notes ■ ■ ■ Syntax Notes define the logical relationships between elements and sub-elements in a given segment. TrustedLink currently supports ANSI X12 and UCS Syntax Notes from version 3030 and later. Before version 6.1.0, some basic syntax checking was performed during inbound translation. In version 6.1.0, this same basic syntax checking is still performed in conjunction with the newly provided additional syntax checking. You can select the level of syntax checking as described below: ALL—additional checks performed on all segments and elements whether or not they are selected. Selected segments only—additional checks performed only on selected segments. None—checking as it was prior to version 6.1.0 with no additional syntax checking performed. Additional Detail Generated for 997 Acknowledgements This enhancement only applies to ANSI X12 functional acknowledgements (997). Automatically generated CONTRL and 999 acknowledgements are unchanged. TrustedLink can generate additional segments in the outbound 997 functional acknowledgments. This occurs when the segment/element level acknowledgement is selected in the trading partner relationship and additional inbound syntax checking is specified in the receive translation format. TrustedLink supports the following levels of auto-generated 997 acknowledgements: ■ Group—previously known as Summary. The AK1 and AK9 acknowledgement segments are generated based on documents included in the received group envelope. ■ Transaction Set—previously known as Detailed. The AK2 and AK5 acknowledgement segments are generated based on the documents received. This level includes the AK1 and AK9 segments. ■ Segment/Element—new level in auto-generated 997. The segments created in the functional acknowledgement based on the level of syntax checking performed against the segments and elements defined in the map. This level includes the AK1, AK2, AK5 and AK9 segments. Release Notes 21
