the world will be in San
Jose, California, USA for the
OFA Plug & Cutting Conference,
September 12-14, 2011. Geared
toward growers of all levels, the
conference it will be especially
valuable for intermediate to
advanced plug and cutting growers.
Through hands-on workshops,
in-person examples provided on the
industry tour, learning labs with
industry experts, and spending
time with vendors in the sold-out
trade show, you will get answers
and ideas to improve your plug and
cutting operation.

& Suppliers
Attendees will have the opportunity
to tour the operations of some of

and suppliers. Pacific Plug & Liner
has approximately 250,000 square
feet dedicated to growing young
plants. Attendees will see a stateof-the
art production facility that
includes rolling Dutch containers,
irrigation booms, Argus environmental
controls, high pressure
fog system, and hydronic bottom
heating.
Rocket Farms
Rocket Farms provides high quality
ornamental plants grown in
nine greenhouse growing facilities
throughout California. The company
has successfully introduced
new products including orchids,
Calla lilies, and fresh (organic and
non-organic) herbs to its product
line.
Attendees on this tour will visit
Sakata Seed America’s California
Research Station which focuses on
vegetable breeding and the evaluation
of flowers and vegetables, as
well as the research of vegetables
grown in subtropical climates.
