ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
After Dr Rewata Dhamma’s death, this study of Process of
Consciousness and Matter was checked and edited Mike Regan, Dr
Kumarabhivamsa, Pro-Rector of the International Theravada Buddhist
Missionary University, and myself. The readership its author intended
was all serious students of Abhidhamma but the book seems to me
suitable for anyone interested in the mental process and especially
scientists. The subject is deep and touches upon the disciplines of
Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics. For clear understanding,
however, a basic knowledge of Abhidhamma is necessary, such as can
be gained from A Comprehensive Manual of Abhidhamma, coauthored
by Bhikkhu Bodhi and Dr Rewata Dhamma (Kandy, 1993).
Let me further suggest to readers who have difficulty mastering the
subject that they ask some learned monk for elucidation – and
particularly one from Myanmar whose speciality it is.
