Community Chorus Celebrates Christmas<br />
“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…” These few words<br />
c<strong>on</strong>jure up memories of Christmas past for all of us – from the fresh<br />
pine smell that comes from a real tree to shoppers scurrying to find<br />
that last minute “perfect gift” to sumptuous holiday dinners with<br />
family and friends. And, for those of us raised in chillier climates -<br />
glistening window panes etched with frost, lopsided “dusty” snow<br />
men and big, fluffy flakes swirling around from head to toe come<br />
to mind…Brrrr! Whatever your recollecti<strong>on</strong>s, the <str<strong>on</strong>g>Celebrati<strong>on</strong></str<strong>on</strong>g><br />
Community Chorus’ Christmas Program aptly titled “The Spirit<br />
of Christmas”, is sure to capture the essence of the Holiday Seas<strong>on</strong>.<br />
Brought to you by <str<strong>on</strong>g>Celebrati<strong>on</strong></str<strong>on</strong>g> Parks & Recreati<strong>on</strong>.<br />
Chorus Director Kristopher Schave has added some very special<br />
pieces to this year’s program including an a cappella arrangement<br />
(a first for the chorus!) entitled O Magnum Mysterium. Other<br />
selecti<strong>on</strong>s range from the truly classical (a medley of compositi<strong>on</strong>s<br />
by Vivaldi, Bach and Handel) to c<strong>on</strong>temporary favorites varying from<br />
sacred hymns to light-hearted melodies like Jingle Bells, Let it Snow<br />
and Jolly Old Saint Nicholas.<br />
So, if you haven’t already, be sure to add this c<strong>on</strong>cert to your<br />
Christmas list and make it your new <str<strong>on</strong>g>Celebrati<strong>on</strong></str<strong>on</strong>g> holiday traditi<strong>on</strong>.<br />
