Celebrators November Meeting

The Celebrators, our town’s 50 and over club met on Wed., Nov. 6
and Barbara Church introduced 10 new members; happy to have you
with us! Walt and Sue once again came early to set up the coffee and
snacks. Thanks so much, you’ve been great!
Our President Carol Jones asked Gary Garafalo to open the meeting
with the Pledge of Allegiance and Cathy Carlson and Paul Collins
talked about the exciting schedule of the Classical Concert Series for
the <strong>2013</strong>-14 Season. There will be five concerts this year instead of
four, at no additional cost. Celebrators can purchase the Series tickets
for the special price of $70 rather than the $80 regular cost. You may
obtain tickets at The <strong>Celebration</strong> Foundation and at Imagination
Realty.
Mike Sonntag informed us that all
activities and news, etc. regarding
our Club can be found online at

events, please contact him.
Ginny Sublet reminded us of our year
end and most exciting annual event,
our Holiday Party, which will be at
the beautiful Bohemian Hotel right
here in town on Thurs., <strong>Dec</strong>. 12 from
6-9 p.m. We are having a lovely buffet
and live entertainers who will offer
holiday music and all types of dances
including line dances and they will be
happy to take your requests. The cost is only $35 per person.

Our speaker in November was <strong>Celebration</strong> resident and our Club
member, attorney Mel Pearlman P.A. Mel gave us an overview of the
legal changes regarding estate planning and suggested that if yours
was done before 2011 you might want to have it updated. If you
would like to use his firm, which is conveniently located here in
<strong>Celebration</strong>, they do offer Estate Planning and Administration,
along with Corporate & Business Law, and Real Estate both
Residential & Commercial, call 407-566-8700.
Mel informed us of an important new authority with which he is
volunteering as a Director. The West 192 Redevelopment Authority
is expected to be the biggest project Osceola County has ever taken on
and will have broad powers to impact every decision made about our
County in the future. We have all noted the deterioration of US-192
in recent years so this news is very welcome. Mel is inviting

residents to get involved
to offer our wisdom,
experience and talents,
especially now in the early
planning stages. They meet
the first Thursday of every
month at the County
Administration Building
opposite the Courthouse.

The trip to the beautiful Ringling Museum in Sarasota was a great
success. Thanks so much, Paul!
We had a wonderful time at our potluck Halloween Party on Oct. 22
with nearly everyone wearing a costume. First prize was won by
Karen and Paul Francis who came as Pregnant Barbie and Baby Daddy
Ken (I’m still laughing). I wish the picture had come out better;
what a great idea!
We will have no official
happy hour during
<strong>Dec</strong>ember but anyone who
would like to can meet
from 5-7 p.m. at the
Bohemian the first
Thursday of the month.

us January 20-24 on Royal Caribbean’s
Imagination out of Cape Canaveral for
a really great price! An inside cabin for two is
$461.82 and an outside cabin for two is $561.
This covers all costs except for the gratuity.

Our next meeting will be Wed., <strong>Dec</strong>. 4. If you are 50 or over and
a resident of <strong>Celebration</strong> please join us. We meet at Town Hall,
851 <strong>Celebration</strong> Ave. on the first Wednesday of each month at 9 am.
Our annual dues are only $15 a year. You can sign up at the meeting.
