B. DISCUSSION/ACTION ON SUMMER HELP<br />

Director <strong>of</strong> Business Services, Jason Smith recommended to authorize the superintendent to employ<br />

groundskeepers and summer custodians.<br />

Mr. Miller moved and Mr. Emerson seconded to authorize the superintendent to employ groundskeepers for<br />

up to 2,000 hours <strong>of</strong> summer grounds maintenance and summer custodians to work up to 1,450 hours at a<br />

rate <strong>of</strong> $8 per hour during the summer months.<br />

C. DISCUSSION/ACTION ON SUMMER DISTRICT OFFICE HOURS<br />

The administrative <strong>of</strong>fice traditionally works a restructured work week during the summer. On Monday<br />

through Thursday, the district <strong>of</strong>fice employees work from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on Fridays from 7:30<br />

a.m. to 12 p.m. The district <strong>of</strong>fice summer hours would begin June 8, 2009 and go through August 7, 2009.<br />

The <strong>Board</strong> tabled action on approving the summer hours and will discuss this further at the June <strong>Board</strong><br />

Study Session.<br />
