“These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace.<br />
In <strong>the</strong> world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome<br />
<strong>the</strong> world.” John 16:33.<br />
10. What has this firm trust in Jesus led many to do<br />
“And <strong>the</strong>y overcame him by <strong>the</strong> blood of <strong>the</strong> Lamb, and by <strong>the</strong> word<br />
of <strong>the</strong>ir testimony; and <strong>the</strong>y loved not <strong>the</strong>ir lives unto <strong>the</strong> death.” Rev.<br />

“The patient in spirit is better than <strong>the</strong> proud in spirit.” Eccl. 7:8. “Be<br />
patient toward all men.” 1 Thess. 5:14. “In your patience possess ye your<br />
souls.” Luke 21:19.<br />
2. What contrast is drawn between <strong>the</strong> patient and <strong>the</strong> hasty in spirit<br />
“He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty<br />
of spirit exalteth folly.” Prov. 14:29.<br />

entire, wanting nothing.” James 1:4.<br />
