BAKER CHAPEL (1895), gift of Mr. William G. Baker of
Buckeystown, Maryland, "to the glory of God and in grateful
recognition of the mercy that spared t.he life of a beloved son,"
is used for the Sunday School and other religious exercises. It
contains a two-manual pipe organ by Brown. Announcement
has been made of the gift of a new Baker Memorial Chapel to
be dedicated to the memory of William G. Baker, Sr., Daniel
Baker, Joseph D. Baker, and Sarah Baker Thomas and to be
erected during 1956-1957.ALUMNI HALL (1899) contains an
auditorium capable of seating twelve hundred persons. It is
used for chapel, assemblies, lectures, and musical programs as
well as for the presentations of the Department of Dramatic Art.
It also contains a three-manual pipe organ by Moller. CARROLL
HALL, a property purchased in 1922, houses the Officesof Administration.
