Construction<br />
Casings are manufactured from pre-galvanised sheet steel and are carefully designed to provide a strong<br />
and rigid casing.<br />
<strong>iFan</strong> inline twinfan units have circular inlet and outlet spigots with a double-lip neoprene seal minimising leakage.<br />
The units are internally lined with acoustic grade rockwool with a facing to prevent the erosion of fibres.<br />
<strong>iFan</strong> inline twinfan units incorporate an internal shutter arrangement to prevent recirculation through the<br />
standby fan.<br />
<strong>iFan</strong> inline twinfan and ICU1.5 are designed for duct mounting within the building.<br />
Motors<br />
The motor is mounted within the centrifugal impeller to form a compact unit, powered by a 220-240V/50Hz/1<br />
phase motor, giving silent and virtually vibration free running, operating at temperatures of up to a maximum<br />
of 40°C. All motors are manufactured in accordance with BS5000 and incorporate thermal overload protection,<br />
they are maintenance free, with sealed for life bearings offering an expected life L10 of 40,000 hours.<br />

Section 1 - Demand Control Ventilation<br />
All units are speed controllable using the integral Fläkt Woods <strong>iFan</strong> Intelligent Control Unit (ICU1.5).<br />
Servicing<br />
The top panel of each unit allows easy access for inspection.<br />
The fan assembly can also be easily removed for cleaning purposes.<br />
Mounting<br />
Suitable for both horizontal and vertical (air up) mounting only.<br />
The units can be inverted if bottom access is required.<br />
