HOW TO FIND US
Leave the A1 at junction 9 and take the A6141
to Baldock. At the first roundabout take the
second exit in to the High Street, then take
the first turning on the left, which is a dead
end. The home is situated behind Baldock
Health Centre.
Four Seasons Health Care is one of the largest groups
in the UK predominantly devoted to the care of older
people. Several specialised centres, including some
catering for learning and physical disabilities, also form
part of the group.

to Osbourne Court Care Home
Osbourne Court Care Home is a purpose built care home with
two floors providing a high standard of residential care and general
nursing care and residential care for people with Dementia.
We also cater for short term respite care and palliative care.
The home is situated in the market town of Baldock, Hertfordshire,
close to many local shops and amenities that the residents are able
to make use of and be involved with the community.

First Class Care
The home is rated 2 star ‘good’ by the
CQC. A recent CQC inspection stated
that “The home provides good quality
personal and health care support to meet
the individually assessed needs of each
service user. The home is effectively
managed and staff are well trained and
supported to enable them to provide
a good level of service within a homely
and safe environment”.
Our person centred approach means
that each resident is an individual treated
with respect and dignity. Each resident
has a named key worker and an
individual care plan. This will cover
their personal and medical history, as
well as a record of particular activities
they enjoy and any cultural or religious
aspects of their care.
Residents, and where appropriate their
families, are involved as far as practical
in the decisions regarding their care.
Emphasis on all aspects of care is the
Manager’s primary concern and, together
with the experienced team of qualified
staff, all adhere to rigorous standards
with internal audits and checks.
At Osbourne Court Care Home, we
have an excellent working relationship
with the partners from the local GP
practice. We very much recognise
the importance of personal, individual
and resident focused care. To achieve
this, good communication between
all members of the care team, be
they nurses, carers, relatives or
doctors, is essential.

Facilities
The home is tastefully decorated and
benefits from excellent facilities including
a snoozelum room, sensory courtyard,
raised vegetable garden and games room
which are beneficial to residents’ health.
The home is well equipped with specialist
equipment in bathrooms and has a lift
and passenger stairway to access both
floors. The home has pleasant gardens
with a patio area where residents and
visitors can enjoy relaxing outdoors in
the warmer months.
All the bedrooms are single rooms
and furnished in a very individual way
creating a very homely feel. All rooms
are en suite. The home boasts two
large lounges with flat screen televisions,
one library and quiet room to relax in.
There is a recently refurbished hair
salon that is visited on a regular basis
by an experienced stylist. Other
complementary therapies can be
tailored to individual needs and the
home is attended frequently by a
qualified chiropodist.
We have a dedicated activities team
who ensure our residents can enjoy
an active social life if they wish and
residents can get involved in hobbies
of their choice and take part in activities
that interest them. The varied and
interesting programme includes
gardening, flower arranging, handicrafts
and coffee mornings to regular trips
out to local places of interest and
regular visits from Keo the PAT dog.
At Osbourne Court Care Home there
are two inviting dining rooms where our
Chef provides nutritionally balanced
menus that are carefully prepared to
ensure the best combination of nutrition
and flavour for our residents.

Types of Stay
Osbourne Court Care Home provides
a high standard of care for people who
need general nursing care. We also
cater for those who need short term
or long term respite care. The home
has a team of well trained dedicated care
assistants and qualified nurses that provide
an excellent standard of 24 hour care.
We fully appreciate the stress associated
with leaving home to live in a new
location, and are happy to accept
new residents for an agreed trial period
at the end of which there would be
no further obligation.
