Proudly Presents the 2013 Star Student, Star<br />
Teacher and Honor Graduates<br />
The Franklin County Chamber of Commerce along with the Franklin<br />
County High School invites parents, family, friends and the<br />
entire community to join them in honoring the FCHS Star Student,<br />
Star Teacher and Honor Graduates at the Honors Breakfast on Friday,<br />
March 1, 2013 at 7:00 am at the Swails Center on the campus of Emmanuel<br />
College. The Franklin County Chamber of Commerce is very<br />
proud of the excellent academic achievement of these students.<br />
For more than 50 years the STAR (Student Teacher Achievement<br />
Recognition) program has honored Georgia’s highest achieving high<br />
school seniors and the teachers who have been most instrumental in<br />
their academic development. To receive the STAR nomination, high<br />
school seniors must have the highest SAT score at FCHS (through<br />
11/5/12) and be in the top 10 percent of their class. The STAR Student<br />
for 2013 is Garrett LeCroy and the STAR Teacher is Mrs. Shari Spokes.<br />
The Valedictorian and Salutatorian are the Honor Graduates that<br />
have the highest overall average, #1 and #2 in the senior class. The Valedictorian<br />
for 2013 is Garrett LeCroy. The Salutatorian for 2013 is Haley<br />
Sue Long.<br />
To achieve the Honor Graduate Award, high school seniors must<br />
have a 93 or higher academic average, an 85 or higher elective average<br />
and 2 units of the same foreign language.<br />
The Franklin County Chamber of Commerce would like to encourage<br />
you to attend this breakfast in honor of these students and their<br />
achievements. Tickets for the breakfast are $10.00 and may be purchased<br />
from the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce, Lavonia<br />
Chamber of Commerce or any Franklin County Chamber Director.<br />
