colorado academy’s
guide to outdoor
adventures
Colorado
Academy

Take your learning outdoors
Join a trip of
discovery with
CA friends and
faculty for some
fantastic
adventures.
Lower School
Check out this new line-up of weekend
trips for students of all ages with
activities ranging from rock climbing
to back-country skiing. Plus, peek
at those trips that are already part of your
Colorado Academy classes.
The purpose of CA’s Outdoor Program is
to offer students experiences that can test
and refine their outdoor skills, compassion,
commitment, and tenacity—while having
fun and appreciating the beauty of the great
outdoors. Taking your learning outdoors is a
hands-on way to learn about geology, history,
geography, anthropology, natural history, and
stewardship of our environment. Much of what
you learn in the outdoors helps you succeed in
the classroom, too.
At CA, safety is our primary concern. Trips
may be postponed or cancelled for reasons
of weather, staffing, or any other issues that
would compromise student safety. As specific
trip dates approach, parents and students will
receive additional information on how to sign
up. Trip registration will take place via the CA
website. For students on aid, please inquire
about trip funding.
