Any touring tyre has not been able to make that claim for<br />
a long time now. The TopContact picks up where “Pneumatics”,<br />
“Super Corsas” and “Top Tourings” left off. Just<br />
like its predecessors, it is ahead of its time thanks to new<br />

VectranTM puncture protection material, and the prevailing<br />

The TopContact Winter comes with a very adhesive<br />
temperature-resistant winter tyre mixture. Microspikes are<br />
built into the tread profi le. They are made from raw, sharp<br />
edged silicon carbide granulate and give the tyre tight grip<br />
even on frozen surfaces. Compared to metal-spike tyres,<br />
the TopContact Winter is just as easy to control on a dry<br />
surface as a summer tyre.<br />

The Contact is the jack-of-all-trades amongst city and trekking<br />
tyres. Its tread design is based upon the principles of<br />
bionics. A uniform center tread/belt assembly ensures a<br />
smooth and speedy ride on the road. Flexible shoulder lugs<br />
and fi ne sipes guarantee grip in curves and on loose surfaces.<br />
The overall tyre construction rounds off the overall high<br />
quality. The ultra fi ne carcass fabric reduces the rolling resistance<br />
while providing a noticeably more comfortable ride.<br />

You can‘t develop a tyre for globetrotters on the drawing<br />
board. So that is why all of Tilmann Waldthaler‘s experience<br />
has been put to use in the development of the TravelContact.<br />
His requirements were obvious: a robust carcass with<br />
a high carrying capacity and protection against chafi ng and<br />
cuts, effective puncture resistance and last but not least,<br />
a tread that makes it possible to explore paths around the<br />
world quickly and safely. A foldable version is of course<br />
also available to take along as a spare. The TravelContact<br />
is ideal for touring all kinds of routes – along the Weser<br />
river in Germany or the best bikespots in the world.<br />
