devices found in Kikumura's car.
April 15, 1988---Humosa, Spain: At 6:30 a.m., a
bomb exploded outside a U.S. Air Force relay station
in Humosa that is located 15 miles from Torrejon
Air Base. The explosion resulted in $27,000 in
damage, but no injuries. A second device, an antipersonnel
mine, was also found near the
communications site and was deactivated by a
Spanish explosives ordinance team (EOD). Though
no group has claimed credit for the attack, it
occurred on the second anniversary of the U.S.
bombing of Libya.
April 26, 1988---Hedemuenden, West Germany:
At 11:10 p.m., as a U.S. military train passed over a
bridge above a small gully, the weight of the train
set offtwo of three explosive devices that were set on
the tracks. The explosions destroyed a number of
windows on the train as well as a section of the
track. Though no group has claimed credit for the
attack, evidence resulting from a series of arrests
beginning October 26 in the Federal Republic of
Germany of members of the Popular Front for the
Liberation of Palestine-General Command (PFLP-
GC) indicates that the group may have been
involved in the attack.
