CCTV camera EC-710<br />
The compact, explosion-proof EC-710 camera is the smallest camera worldwide for hazardous<br />
areas. With a diameter of only 55 millimetres, the camera provides new options for<br />
plants with little space.<br />
New: now with three different viewing angles 33°, 70° and 81°<br />
DOME camera EC-750<br />
Be it at sea, onshore or offshore - the Ex-DOME camera can easily withstand rough conditions,<br />
because its PTZ system is housed inside a robust dome. This makes the camera waterproof,<br />
vibration-proof and shockproof. For a perfect, all-round view the camera can be<br />
panned across 360° on a horizontal plane. The tilt angle is ± 90°. This way, the camera<br />
keeps everything in perfect view.<br />

EC-730 auto-focus camera<br />
The EC-730 auto-focus camera comes with an optical zoom providing up to 22x magnification.<br />
Added to that is the 11x digital zoom. The camera is suitable for ambient temperatures<br />
ranging from –20 °C to +40 °C. With its waterproof housing made of seawater-proof aluminium,<br />
it can also withstand aggressive salty air and spray.<br />

<strong>Ethernet</strong> installation in hazardous areas<br />
A comprehensive network architecture based on <strong>Ethernet</strong> that ideally ranges from the<br />
field level to the control and ERP systems is essential for flexible and powerful automation.<br />
Numerous applications are currently making use of this proven and powerful transfer<br />
medium. Various methods are available for the installation, all with their particular<br />
advantages and disadvantages. STAHL provides solutions for <strong>Ethernet</strong> installations in<br />
hazardous areas - be it Cat6, copper cable, optical fibre or Wireless LAN.<br />
Wireless LAN for Zone 1 and Zone 2<br />
Radio-communication in zone 2 / division 2 is possible with the WLAN Access Point<br />
type 9710 from STAHL. The robust device has been designed for typical condition<br />
prevalent in industries such as the chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical or oil and<br />
gas industries. It can withstand temperatures ranging from -30° to +60° and can be<br />
installed outdoors. The compact Access Point is available with a housing that has a high<br />
IP protection class and resistance to shock.<br />
STAHL also provides solutions for installations in zone 1, which, for example, are based<br />
on flameproof enclosures (Ex d). As a standard for these cases, the WLAN Access<br />
Point type 9710 is used. If required, we can also provide customer-specific<br />
solutions.<br />
Optical fibre - first distributor worldwide for Zone1 and Zone 2<br />
This medium is ideal for transferring <strong>Ethernet</strong> and other digital signals with a high transfer<br />
speed across great distances without interference. An installation in hazardous<br />
areas, however, requires not only a robust design suitable for industrial application but<br />
also that suitable explosion protection measures. For a while now, STAHL has<br />
already been providing Remote I/O and HMI terminals for the transfer via optical fibre.<br />
Our product range is now extended to include the first optical fibre distributor worldwide<br />
for installation in zones 1 and 2. With this solution, users can range and reliably connect<br />
optical fibre cables by means of spliced connections - exactly as they are used to from<br />
terminal boxes.<br />
The application's protection type is Ex op pr in Ex-e housings, making assembly and<br />
maintenance uncritical.<br />
Copper cable<br />
<strong>Ethernet</strong> transfer via copper cable - be it Cat 6, Cat 7 or ProfiNet - remains the standard<br />
procedure for <strong>Ethernet</strong> installation. Here too, however, the regulations for the installation<br />
in hazardous areas are a challenge for a safe and interference-free transfer. Terminal<br />
blocks, for example, are not suitable for installation. STAHL provides a solution that<br />
meets the requirements of Ex-protection and the transfer of digital signals: BusConex.<br />
