Green White Wildcats GU12DE
Coach Eric Eakin; Asst. Coach Peter Gilbertson
• April 13, 2008 v. CLASC Blue (rescheduled).
• April 20, 2008 v. Northstars S.C. 1-1 Tie. The
Green White Wildcats opened the season with a
hard fought draw against Northstars S.C. Kimberly
Welk scored the tying goal 10 minutes into
the second period on a direct free kick from 25
yards out. The Wildcat defense, that included Michelle
Welk, Michaela Slosar, Katie Krebs, Elise
Dietrich, and Allison Brask, shut down the Northstars
in the second half rarely, allowing the ball to
enter into the Green White side of the field.
• April 27, 2008 v. Team Evanston Blue. 1-0 Win.
The Green White Wildcats notched their first
win the season against a tough Evanston
team. Megan Zupko scored the winning goal with
10 minutes remaining in the second period.
Michaela Slosar and Katie Krebs shared
goalie duties to help preserve the shut out.
Green White Force GU14BN
Coach Greg Lacost
• April 13, 2008 v. CL Force Premier (rescheduled).
• April 20, 2008 v. Palatine Celtic. 2-0 Win. The
Green White Force had a convincing 2-0 win over a
determined Celtic team. A strong defense anchored
by sweeper Maggie Partridge and stopper Megan
Moore stymied Palatine the entire game. On the
offensive end, Green White opened the scoring with
a short pass from Patricia Kondilis to Jessie Gonzalez,
who then deftly shed a defender and slotted
the ball into the back of the net. In the second half,
Patricia Kondilis came up from the back to nail
home a direct kick from outside of the penalty box
that sealed the victory.
• April 27, 2008 v. Sirens South (rescheduled).
