Gladiolus can be stored for several months if kept in a cool, well ventilated place. Use a deep, well drained pH6-6.5 soil
and plant in full sun. Plant so that the soil is 4" above the corms. Plant corms 2" apart in rows - this is about 5 corms
per row foot. Keep rows 2 or 3 feet apart. Use 2 pounds of 5-10-10 per 100 row feet before planting.
Depending on variety, growing time is 70-80 days. Gladiolus can be planted at intervals assuring constant flower
NOTE: IT IS ESSENTIAL TO START AT A SOIL TEMPERATURE OF 78-80 ° F.
Cut in tight bud stage with 2-3 leaves remaining on the stem and with 1-5 florets showing color. Store upright in a floral
preservation at 41-45° F. If shipped, flowers should be held upright to prevent bending.
These gladiolus are shorter than regular glads with flower stalks that produce
more flowers. With the shorter height, this makes them ideal for garden borders as they
are less likely to tip - also good for landscapes. Vigorous growers.
