Male Asparagus plants produce higher yields, spears might be smaller
but are typically
uniform and more numerous Best time to plant is Mid-April into late
May.
Planting: plant crown in a furrow 6" - 8" deep, 18" apart, cover with 2"-3"
of soil,

FRUITS & VEGETABLES
Honeoye
First ripening berry and the sweetest. Primary berries are large
with later berries medium sized. Glossy deep red skin and firm
flesh Produce many runners, make nice rows and are very
disease resistant - although susceptible to powdery mildew.
Sequoia
Old favorite. Large berry, good flavor for home use and good
for freezing; very disease resistant; plants are vigorous and
will product many runners.
Allstar
Exceptionally large firm fruit that holds its size for entire
season. Fruit has a long shape without the shoulders of other
berries and are somewhat orange colored. Flavor and yield are
excellent. Hold up great in hot, wet conditions.
