The photos used in the front cover of this guidebook provide some insights
into the practice of aquaculture in the Philippines. The photos showing
aquaculture production technologies (cage construction, seaweeds, and
mangrove reforestation) were provided by the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic
Resources – Fisheries Policy and Economics Divisions through Mr. Sammy
Malvas, OIC-Chief, and Arnel Valenzuela; the main photo of fish cages in Taal
