Staff or a Ref instructs you do or it is absolutely vital that you do so and if this is the case please
inform Event Staff or a Ref what you are doing and why. It is quite common that during a Battle a
Player or Monster will fall to the floor for an IC reason and the Battle will continue around them,
this can be potentially very dangerous.
Event Staff or Refs may decide to move said Players or Monsters to a less dangerous position in
these cases, if they ask you to move then please comply with their instructions as it is for your own
safety. Any ‘Death Count’ will be started again in the new position from the point you reached
when you were asked to move, if you cannot remember where you were with your ‘Death Count’
a Ref or Event Staff may decide a suitable point from which you can start again or not depending
upon the circumstances.
Weapon Safety and Construction Guidelines
Curious Pastimes has a published weapon safety and construction policy statement. This is
contained in the rulebook. If you have the slightest doubt about any of the weapons or armour
you intend to use you should refer to these guidelines. Weapon checkers, referees and event staff at
every event, will enforce these guidelines.
The Game Rules
Curious Pastimes Ltd. has developed and published a set of rules for playing within the Renewal
campaign. These rules cover every eventuality of playing within the campaign from in character
aspects to guidelines on how to enact these rules. They are freely available from our web site, by
sending a request to the office and at the events. It is imperative that every player is familiar with
all of the rules and their implications. Ignorance of any particular rule will not be accepted as an
excuse for failing to comply with it.
Costume
Unless otherwise stated all Curious Pastimes events are set in a Fantasy Milieu. Whilst we accept
a broad range of costumes, we do insist that all customers’ costumes conform to this basic style
for the enjoyment of all our customers. Therefore we regret that no modern or overtly futuristic
costume or props will be permitted. Please also note that anybody whose costume or lack of it,
which is considered unsuitable or liable to cause offence will be informed and asked to change.
Failure to respond to this request especially in the case of the latter reason may result in you being
asked to leave the Event.
