Kingdom Rock VBS!<br />

“Kingdom Rock” is a one week (five mornings/9:00 am-12:15 pm) <strong>Catholic</strong> Vacation Bible School Program sponsored<br />

by Our Lady, Mo<strong>the</strong>r <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Church and <strong>Divine</strong> <strong>Savior</strong> Parish, for children entering Grades K-4 in fall, staffed by both<br />

parishes’ catechists and youth volunteers during <strong>the</strong> week <strong>of</strong> July 22-26.<br />

Join in <strong>the</strong> FUN and plan to build a rock solid faith this summer at VBS where you will learn to stand strong for God!<br />

National Shrine <strong>of</strong> St. Therese Pilgrimage<br />

Friendly reminder for those attending <strong>the</strong> National Shrine <strong>of</strong> St. Therese in Darien, IL on Tuesday, <strong>April</strong> 16th,<br />

The food pantry at our sharing parish, St. Eulalia in Maywood, IL, is in great need <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> donations we receive each<br />

week. Your continued generosity in remembering <strong>the</strong> needy is appreciated.<br />

THE SENIOR ASSISTANCE CENTER PRESENTS—SENIOR ACTIVITIES DAY<br />

On Tuesday, <strong>April</strong> 23rd from 9:30-11:30 AM, <strong>the</strong> Senior Assistance Center will be celebrating National Volunteer Week<br />

Home Delivered Meals are delivered Monday through Friday by faithful VOLUNTEERS. If you have two free hours a<br />

week, you can help homebound neighbors by delivering a hot meal at noontime. Can you think <strong>of</strong> a better way <strong>of</strong><br />

spending two FREE hours?<br />

The program will explore God’s special gift <strong>of</strong> human fertility and <strong>the</strong> beauty and wonder <strong>of</strong> growing up and becoming<br />

a woman, will provide an atmosphere <strong>of</strong> love and learning to discuss <strong>the</strong> important topic <strong>of</strong> growing up, and will<br />

establish a foundation for continued communication between parent and child.<br />

“Taking it to <strong>the</strong> Road” to better serve our Vets<br />

A Veterans Mobile Medical Unit is <strong>the</strong> latest tool Edward<br />

Hines Jr. VA Hospital is using to reach out to area<br />

Veterans to enroll <strong>the</strong>m in and provide <strong>the</strong>m with top<br />

quality VA healthcare. This new 38 foot Mobile Medical<br />

Unit (MMU) features 2 separate exam areas, a<br />

counseling room, on-<strong>the</strong>-spot enrollment, and much<br />

more.<br />

The Veterans MMU will travel throughout <strong>the</strong><br />

Chicagoland area to bring health care services and<br />

information to area Veterans. On Tuesday, <strong>April</strong> 23rd<br />

from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, <strong>the</strong> MMU will be at The<br />

Salvation Army Norridge Citadel, 8354 W. Foster Ave<br />

Norridge, IL.<br />
