Kingdom Rock VBS!
“Kingdom Rock” is a one week (five mornings/9:00 am-12:15 pm) Catholic Vacation Bible School Program sponsored
by Our Lady, Mother of the Church and Divine Savior Parish, for children entering Grades K-4 in fall, staffed by both
parishes’ catechists and youth volunteers during the week of July 22-26.
Join in the FUN and plan to build a rock solid faith this summer at VBS where you will learn to stand strong for God!

National Shrine of St. Therese Pilgrimage
Friendly reminder for those attending the National Shrine of St. Therese in Darien, IL on Tuesday, April 16th,
remember the bus departs Divine Savior’s back parking lot promptly at 8:45 AM and returns 3:30 PM. Any questions,

The Women’s Club will attend the 9:30 AM Mass on Sunday, April 21st, as a group in a reserved section. After Mass,
we will meet in the Parish Hall for a brief meeting and refreshments.

FOOD FOR THE NEEDY

The food pantry at our sharing parish, St. Eulalia in Maywood, IL, is in great need of the donations we receive each
week. Your continued generosity in remembering the needy is appreciated.
THE SENIOR ASSISTANCE CENTER PRESENTS—SENIOR ACTIVITIES DAY
On Tuesday, April 23rd from 9:30-11:30 AM, the Senior Assistance Center will be celebrating National Volunteer Week

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Home Delivered Meals are delivered Monday through Friday by faithful VOLUNTEERS. If you have two free hours a
week, you can help homebound neighbors by delivering a hot meal at noontime. Can you think of a better way of
spending two FREE hours?
Interested? Please call Arleen at the Seniors Assistance Center, (708) 456-7979, during office hours, Monday - Friday,
from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. A small stipend will be given for mileage. Your help with this service would be greatly
appreciated.

“God’s Plan for Growing Up”
Make a date with your daughter! Come to a Mother-Daughter Tea on Sunday, April 21st from 2:30-5:00 PM, at Catholic
Charities, Vincent Hall 721 North LaSalle Street. Fee is $35.00 per mother and daughter and $10.00 each additional
daughter.
The program will explore God’s special gift of human fertility and the beauty and wonder of growing up and becoming
a woman, will provide an atmosphere of love and learning to discuss the important topic of growing up, and will
establish a foundation for continued communication between parent and child.

“Taking it to the Road” to better serve our Vets
A Veterans Mobile Medical Unit is the latest tool Edward
Hines Jr. VA Hospital is using to reach out to area
Veterans to enroll them in and provide them with top
quality VA healthcare. This new 38 foot Mobile Medical
Unit (MMU) features 2 separate exam areas, a
counseling room, on-the-spot enrollment, and much
more.
The Veterans MMU will travel throughout the
Chicagoland area to bring health care services and
information to area Veterans. On Tuesday, April 23rd
from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the MMU will be at The
Salvation Army Norridge Citadel, 8354 W. Foster Ave
Norridge, IL.
Two hours of your time can make a difference in the lives
of over 600 children and adults with developmental
disabilities who live at Misericordia, Heart of Mercy.
