“Love Port” in association with the T.Y.
Students of Coláiste Íosagáin announce a day
of fun for all – Portarlington’s very own “Easter
Eggstravaganza”. The event will be held on
the grounds of Coláiste Íosagáin Secondary
School on Sat. 23 rd March. The day will
feature a wide range of fun activities such as
stalls, games, face-painting, bouncing castles,
sumo wrestling, Easter egg hunt & a world
record attempt to achieve the highest number
of participants simultaneously taking part in the
Cup Song. Entry charge at the gate is €2 per
family. We would greatly appreciate support

SCRAP SATURDAY
On Sat. 16 th March, Courtwood GAA club are
giving you the opportunity to get rid of all your
household or farm/ business unwanted scrap
metal or appliances by donating it to a
recycling collection as a fundraiser for the
club. Your scrap metal can be brought to the
club car park between the hours of 9am-4pm
on the day. Items can be collected by calling
PJ Kelly on 087-6686267. We will accept all
of the following items; old cars, vans, engines,
machinery, washing machines gates,
corrugated sheeting etc. We cannot accept
fridges, gas bottles, televisions, wood, rubber,
ceramics or household rubbish.

ST PATRICK’S DAY PARADE
"The Gathering of The Clans". The idea is to
get as many people as possible to draw &
decorate their family name on a banner &
display it in the parade or as a spectator.
Prizes for best decorated, the funniest, the
best story (or yarn) & the most foreign name
we can see in the Square! Live music in the
square from 3pm until 6pm. Please note the
parade will start at 3.30pm on Station Road,
marching through Main Street by viewing
platform (situated in the Square), where the
judging will take place. The parade will
continue on around to Supervalu where it will
