Why have you chosen to run for a position in the Marian high School student government?
I have chosen to run for Class Officer again because I have thoroughly enjoyed this past year. Being a
leader of our class has helped me grow and I know I will continue to represent our class with gusto.
What is your personal definition of a leader?
A leader is someone who takes initiative and uses his or her own ideas and the ideas of others to bring
about change.
What special skills or talents will you bring to student government? How will these traits enrich the
environment of Marian High School?
I will represent our class well because I am ambitious, determined, and open to new ideas. I know these
qualities have helped me when I work together with the other class officers to bring about positive
changes.
What innovative ideas or goals do you have for Marian High School? What plan of action would
you take to see your goal achieved?
I will enjoy helping our class begin new traditions and I will see that the goals of our class are achieved
through communication with the students and administration.
What activities have you been involved in at Marian that will assist you in being a strong and able
leader in the student government?
This past year I was a Class Officer; it taught me a lot about working together and listening to others. The
other class officers and I had to make choices that affected everyone in our class and we learned from
each decision. I attended leadership training and was involved in service learning, polar plunge, and book
club, basketball, and soccer. My involvement in these activities has helped me be a spirited Class Officer
because I have come to better understand what it takes to be part of the Marian community.

Why have you chosen to run for a position in Marian High School’s student government?
I want to run for an office position because i feel that i can bring new ideas to Marian and our class, and

ecause i had an awesome experience being a class officer this past year.
What is your personal definition of a leader?
i think a leader is someone who can make a decision and stand up for what they believe in, even if it is not
always the popular thing to do. Also, a leader recognizes what is best for the whole group, instead of just
themselves.
What special skills or talents will you bring to student government? How will these traits enrich
the environment of Marian High School?
i think that i am creative and open-minded. i can use my creativity in finding new ways to raise money for
walk-a-thon and ideas for Field Day. i think that by being open-minded, i am able to get an input from the
class and represent what they want, not just what i want.
What innovative ideas or goals do you have for Marian High School? What plan of action would
you take to see your goal achieved?
i would like get new ideas from the class and turn their thoughts into actions. i think that one thing our
school needs is more microwaves. I see people waste half their lunch time waiting to warm up their food.
Small things like that aren’t a necessity, but it would help out our school, and i think that i could help in
raising money and getting things, like microwaves, that our school wants.
What activities have you been involved in at Marian that will assist in being a strong and able
leader in student government?
I have been involved in many different sports and clubs here at Marian. One thing i have learned is how
to be a team player, whether i am on a cross-country team of 90 girls, or as a member of the class officers
with 6 girls. i have learned that everyone is a valuable player. Everyone can bring new and creative ideas
to the table, and as a Class Officer, it would be my job to listen to these ideas. I have learned so much in
being a Class Officer and i am very thankful for the opportunity. Even though it was stressful at times, it
has taught me to always be positive and to really listen to others.
