Course description<br />

Day 1 – Level 1 – <strong>Xantrex</strong> GT Single Phase Series for grid-interactive<br />

systems (8 hours – 8 NABCEP continuing education credits)<br />

This course is intended for current or prospective <strong>Xantrex</strong> GT Single Phase Series installers as well as others<br />

who want to have a more thorough practical understanding of the <strong>Xantrex</strong> GT Single Phase Series product line.<br />

Pre-requisite: Some prior knowledge of basic electrical circuits and concepts such as Ohms Law.<br />

Course content:<br />

This training is on the <strong>Xantrex</strong> GT Single Phase Series product line. The format of the training is a small workgroup<br />

with a focus on hands-on training with open dialogue. The course covers a brief overview of conventional and<br />

renewable energy sources, an introduction to grid-tie energy transfer, an overview of <strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> grid-tie<br />

products, and detailed discussion of the <strong>Xantrex</strong> GT Single Phase Series features, functions and benefits. Participants<br />

will also get to practice the physical installation of the <strong>Xantrex</strong> GT Single Phase Series product, training in system<br />

wiring and commissioning of typical applications.<br />

Upon completion of the course, participants will have a working understanding of how the <strong>Xantrex</strong> GT Single Phase<br />

Series product is able to transfer power from renewable to conventional energy systems, an understanding of the<br />

functions, features and benefits of the <strong>Xantrex</strong> GT Single Phase Series product line and hands-on experience with the<br />

installation and commissioning of the <strong>Xantrex</strong> GT Single Phase Series product.<br />

The focus of this training is on the <strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> <strong>Xantrex</strong> XW System, a battery based grid-interactive product<br />

line. The format of the training is a small workgroup and the focus is on hands-on training with open dialogue. The<br />

course includes a brief introduction into conventional and renewable energy sources and storage systems, an<br />

introduction to grid-interactive energy transfer, an overview of grid-interactive products, and a detailed discussion of<br />

the features, functions and benefits of the <strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> battery based grid-interactive product line. In addition,<br />

the training will cover the physical installation of the <strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> <strong>Xantrex</strong> XW System, training in system wiring<br />

and commissioning of typical applications.<br />

Upon completion of the course, the participants will have a working understanding of how a grid-interactive<br />

and battery based product is able to transfer renewable power to and from conventional energy systems,<br />

an understanding of the functions, features and benefits of the <strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> <strong>Xantrex</strong> XW System and<br />

hands-on experience with the installation and commissioning of the <strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> <strong>Xantrex</strong> XW System.


<strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> Interactive <strong>Professional</strong> <strong>Installer</strong> <strong>Training</strong><br />

Course description<br />

Day 3 – Level 2 – In-depth grid-interactive system design and case studies<br />

(8 hours – 8 NABCEP continuing education credits)<br />

Pre-requisite: This course is intended for current or new system installers who have already gone<br />

through the <strong>Schneider</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> <strong>Xantrex</strong> XW or <strong>Xantrex</strong> GT Single Phase Level 1 course.<br />

Course content:<br />

The focus of the training is on system components and in-depth case studies of typical grid-interactive applications.<br />

This training is conducted in a small workgroup with a focus on hands-on training with open dialogue. The course<br />

content covers training on solar panels, generators, batteries and network communication components. In addition,<br />

the design and application of solar array installations, battery banks and generator back-up systems are also<br />

covered. At least half of the course time will be spent on hands-on design, installation and configuration of various<br />

system application case studies.<br />

Upon completion of the course, the participants will have a good understanding of how to design,<br />

install and commission various configurations of grid-interactive systems.<br />

The cost for the three day training is $250.00 USD per attendee<br />

Cost to attend one day of training is $125.00 USD per attendee<br />
