Schneider Electric Interactive Professional Installer Training
Course description
Day 1 – Level 1 – Xantrex GT Single Phase Series for grid-interactive
systems (8 hours – 8 NABCEP continuing education credits)
This course is intended for current or prospective Xantrex GT Single Phase Series installers as well as others
who want to have a more thorough practical understanding of the Xantrex GT Single Phase Series product line.
Pre-requisite: Some prior knowledge of basic electrical circuits and concepts such as Ohms Law.
Course content:
This training is on the Xantrex GT Single Phase Series product line. The format of the training is a small workgroup
with a focus on hands-on training with open dialogue. The course covers a brief overview of conventional and
renewable energy sources, an introduction to grid-tie energy transfer, an overview of Schneider Electric grid-tie
products, and detailed discussion of the Xantrex GT Single Phase Series features, functions and benefits. Participants
will also get to practice the physical installation of the Xantrex GT Single Phase Series product, training in system
wiring and commissioning of typical applications.
Upon completion of the course, participants will have a working understanding of how the Xantrex GT Single Phase
Series product is able to transfer power from renewable to conventional energy systems, an understanding of the
functions, features and benefits of the Xantrex GT Single Phase Series product line and hands-on experience with the
installation and commissioning of the Xantrex GT Single Phase Series product.

Day 2 – Level 1 – Schneider Electric Xantrex XW System for grid-interactive
battery based systems (8 hours – 8 NABCEP continuing education credits)
This course is intended for current or prospective Schneider Electric Xantrex XW System installers or others who
want to have a more thorough practical understanding of the battery based Schneider Electric XW product line.
Pre-requisite: Some prior knowledge of basic electrical circuits and concepts such as Ohms Law.
Course content:
The focus of this training is on the Schneider Electric Xantrex XW System, a battery based grid-interactive product
line. The format of the training is a small workgroup and the focus is on hands-on training with open dialogue. The
course includes a brief introduction into conventional and renewable energy sources and storage systems, an
introduction to grid-interactive energy transfer, an overview of grid-interactive products, and a detailed discussion of
the features, functions and benefits of the Schneider Electric battery based grid-interactive product line. In addition,
the training will cover the physical installation of the Schneider Electric Xantrex XW System, training in system wiring
and commissioning of typical applications.
Upon completion of the course, the participants will have a working understanding of how a grid-interactive
and battery based product is able to transfer renewable power to and from conventional energy systems,
an understanding of the functions, features and benefits of the Schneider Electric Xantrex XW System and
hands-on experience with the installation and commissioning of the Schneider Electric Xantrex XW System.

Course description
Day 3 – Level 2 – In-depth grid-interactive system design and case studies
(8 hours – 8 NABCEP continuing education credits)
Pre-requisite: This course is intended for current or new system installers who have already gone
through the Schneider Electric Xantrex XW or Xantrex GT Single Phase Level 1 course.
Course content:
The focus of the training is on system components and in-depth case studies of typical grid-interactive applications.
This training is conducted in a small workgroup with a focus on hands-on training with open dialogue. The course
content covers training on solar panels, generators, batteries and network communication components. In addition,
the design and application of solar array installations, battery banks and generator back-up systems are also
covered. At least half of the course time will be spent on hands-on design, installation and configuration of various
system application case studies.
Upon completion of the course, the participants will have a good understanding of how to design,
install and commission various configurations of grid-interactive systems.

Cost:
The cost for the three day training is $250.00 USD per attendee
Cost to attend one day of training is $125.00 USD per attendee
Please note: due to the hands on nature of the training, attendance is limited to 12 people per session.
