Eighteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time PAGE 3 August 4, 2013 248-553-4860 OFFICE OF CHRISTIAN FORMATION PRIMARY GRADES Our summer hours are now in effect. We will be in and out of the office, checking messages and getting mail. If you need to stop by, please call the office beforehand to check that someone will be here. Registration forms for fall are available online or in the Christian Formation Office. There are also forms outside our office so pick one up when you come to Mass! You can either mail the forms in or put them in the black drop box outside the school doors when you come to Mass. Sign up now to get your day of choice! Register before August 15 to avoid another late fee! If you have already registered, thank you! If you do not hear from us, then you have the class and day that you requested. We will not be sending postcards. Our first classes are on Monday and Tuesday, September 9-10. Fall class information is as follows: For grades 1-7, classes are offered Monday or Tuesdays from 5:00-6:15 PM. For grade 8, classes are two Sundays of the month from 10:30 AM- 12:30 PM. Pre-school/Kindergarten classes are the 1 st and 3 rd Sundays of the month during the 9:15 AM Mass and pre-registration is required. Liturgy of the Word for Children is the 2 nd and 4 th Sundays of the month during the 9:15 AM Mass, and preregistration is not required. All classes start in September. If you have ever thought about sharing your faith with our youth, we have opportunities for you! We are in need of catechists for Monday or Tuesday in grades 4 and 5. We provide lesson plans, resources, and support. If you are interested, please contact Nancy in the Christian Formation Office for more information. MIDDLE SCHOOL We are always looking for those that are willing to share their faith….so while you are enjoying the summer think about joining the community of catechists that share their catholic faith with our wonderful middle school youth! “Preach the Gospel at all times and when necessary use words.” ~St. Francis of Assisi I have openings to team teach in 7th grade on Monday and Tuesday evenings and in 8th grade twice a month on Sunday mornings. I provide all the lesson plans, activities and support. Join the team and connect, transform, and make a difference! If you have an 8th grader that attends another Catholic/private school please remember to register them in the CF office so they can be Confirmed. This was my first year going to REACH and let me just say, it was not what I expected. It was better. I was not only moved by my amazing neighbors, Zeta and Fred and their 2 daughters, Heather and Britney, but by every single person at the school. Everything was incredible, the people were amazing. I thought meeting new people would be difficult, but the happy atmosphere made it so incredibly easy. I made friends from Pennsylvania, Arizona, Michigan, and New York all of whom I WILL keep in touch with. My crew was absolutely amazing. I had no idea it was possible to grow so close to 15 people within a matter of days. My crew was like my family, I could be myself with them.
