ABSTRACT<br />

IBC Advanced Technologies’ Molecular Recognition Technology (MRT) SuperLig® products<br />

selectively and rapidly bind with target metal ions to remove them from solution. The MRT process<br />

can produce a high purity separation product of maximum added value at low cost. This paper<br />

discusses applications for MRT in the cobalt industry, including removal of Cd, Cu, Pb, and Ni.<br />

Additional separations of interest to the Australian mining industry will also be discussed, including<br />

Hg removal from sulfuric acid and uranium separations.<br />
