FILM LIKE A JIGSAW<br />
The usual low hush of The Film School at night has transformed<br />
into laughter, the salty sweets the ideas. I don’t always<br />
experience this when you walk into The Film Building.<br />
I am excited to proclaim that Cinema is the most integrated<br />
art form. I floated through the halls like I was allergic to my<br />
work. In other words, I had the luxury of having an out of<br />
body experience.<br />
We’ve gone from receiving curious recruitment scholarships<br />
diluted with questionable amounts of loans to receiving<br />
awesome equipment grants and the best theatre in Santa<br />
Fe. The Screens Mantra; “I’D RATHER BE WATCHING<br />
OBSCURE WORLD CINEMA” I’m not trying to boast, I’m<br />
simply saying I really love how much we learn about ourselves<br />
from watching good cinema. And, I think film is the<br />
best! You see I must clarify that I do have a biased opinion.<br />
On the campus of Santa Fe University’s of Art & Design<br />
interdisciplinary collaboration is the newest trend! Hashtag<br />
#Collab #Awesome #Cool. Students are starting to recognize<br />
their strength, and consequently their weaknesses and just<br />
like Hip-Hop, Good Cinema samples plentiful works of art<br />
to create a well rounded, believable story. Good Art Informs<br />
Good Cinema. We should be chanting on the campus of<br />
Santa Fe University’s of Art & Design that interdisciplinary<br />
collaboration is the oldest newest trend! Matter of fact thats<br />
one of the reasons why I agreed to the crippling crumbling<br />
loans that is my college debt. I signed up to be surrounded<br />
by 800 artists at any given time. And, up until now we’ve<br />
been flirting with each other. I suggest it’s time we start putting<br />
our puzzle together..<br />
