Second Hand (Used) Apparatus
UK Rules, Regulation 12: Used Equipment already in
the Community:-
LVD does not apply to used equipment circulating
in the Community which still conforms to the
requirements in force when it was first placed on the
market - DoC & CE marking not required
If used equipment is reconditioned or modified
before return to the Community, the LVD must be
applied - CE marking required
Used Equipment entering or re-entering the EU:
Regardless of origin, is treated as being placed on the
market for the first time, & the LVD applies - CE
marking required
