Pipe Marking Products
Location Principle
Pipe markers should be placed as follows:
• Where they will not be obscured by other
pipe markers, signs, tanks or piping systems
• So that they are easily visible from main
traffic ways within the facility
• To insure the proper direction of flow
indicated on the piping system
• At least 7’ (2.1 m) above floor level for
appropriate eye contact (if possible)
• For pipe lines located above or below normal
line of vision, markers should be placed
below or above the horizontal centerline of
the pipe
