Pipe Marker Appli<strong>cat</strong>ion Guide<br />
How to Order St<strong>and</strong>ard Legend Pipe Markers<br />
1. Take into account the following to determine which pipe marker system is needed:<br />
A) Surface of the pipe (wet, dry, rough, dirty, clean, etc.)<br />
B) Marking environment (indoor/outdoor, chemical, UV, humidity exposure)<br />
C) Temperature<br />
D) Durability <strong>and</strong> ease of installation<br />
E) Pipe maintenance<br />
2. Determine the flow direction of pipe contents. (All PMPC Pipe Markers have directional flow arrows pointing<br />
only to the right. If you require a left directional arrow, order a custom legend pipe marker. See page 74 or<br />
contact factory for details.)<br />
3. Determine the outside pipe diameter (including any insulation).<br />
4. Lo<strong>cat</strong>e the correct part number for the desired legend by referencing the appropriate pipe diameter column in<br />
the part number listing for the pipe marker system needed. See pages 66 to 73.<br />
For custom legends, use Custom Pipe Marker Order Form on page 74.<br />
5. Remember to order additional products designed for the specific system you are using. For example: Order ties<br />
for strap-on markers, b<strong>and</strong>ing tape for pressure sensitive markers or valve tag accessories when ordering valve<br />
tags.<br />
6. Contact your local P<strong>and</strong>uit Distributor to place your order.<br />
