This is how the the following games look like for The Robins:
What a horror story, here we are on 23rd February in 21st place with Cheltenham
no wins in eight games. Cheltenham almost managed a win away at Accrington
for Russell Milton and Steve Elliott. Substitute Shay McCartan's second-half strike
for Accrington denied visitors Cheltenham a first win in eight games. Russell Milton's
side took the lead via a short corner when Wes Burns looped a header into
the centre of the net, over on-rushing goalkeeper Scott Davies. McCartan, who
replaced Seamus Conneely, levelled for Accrington after a swift counter-attack on
the hour mark. Stanley had chances to win the game but Josh Windass fired wide
and was later denied by goalkeeper Trevor Carson. Cheltenham, who announced
on Monday that caretaker boss Milton and his assistant Steve Elliot will take
charge until May following the departure of Paul Buckle, remain in the bottom two
but are now level on points with 22nd-placed Tranmere, who host Shrewsbury on
Saturday. Cheltenham Town boss Russell Milton told BBC Radio Gloucestershire:
"I'm disappointed, but proud for going ahead and they scored after our best spell
in the second half. "Overall I'm really pleased with the boys, the effort and desire
was first class, it's 100% better than it was a couple of weeks ago. "It's a step in the
right direction, we've stopped the rot, we go on from here - simple as that - and
we will."
The next six fixtures will decide if The Robins can get out of the current desperate
state, with Carlisle in 21st place a key game to start with. Then Mansfield in 19th
place and Newport away who are in the lofty heights of eightieth place, Portsmouth
in 14th place and Exeter in 13th place are must win games.
Time for Cheltenham team to show some feel fighting spirit as we can still get out
of this situation, we can do it !!
