Question: Who is Brooks Humphreys, AP European, AP
US history, and World History teacher at Mercy High School?
As a child, he watched the show and had a life-long
in a pep rally for
Humphreys prior to
and 385 students of
Mercy High School?
something new.”
Mercy Teachers All Top-Notch
The faculty and staff at Mercy High School are truly
dedicated and very passionate to ensure a premier Catholic
education rooted in faith, knowledge, and service for
all Mercy students. Over 65% of the faculty have their
master’s degrees. The average tenure of teachers at Mercy
is 14 years. The helpfulness of the faculty extends beyond
the classroom, as they can be seen before and after school
tutoring students, coaching a sport, directing a play, or
sponsoring a student organization.
The following testimonials are from our faculty and staff
as to why they choose to serve at Mercy High School.
I serve at Mercy because I believe
that Mercy’s negotiated tuition
program works for social justice
in our economically divided
community. I serve at Mercy
because I consistently see the
faculty and staff go the extra
mile to bring hope and happiness
into the lives of our student
Tom Andreasen
body. I serve at Mercy because I
continually see Mercy graduating
young women who are committed to justice and serving
others in our world. I serve at Mercy because our students
and alumnae serve as wonderful examples of what it
means to live the mission of Christ. – Tom Andreasen,
theology, social justice and world religion teacher
For the last 25 years, each time spring rolls around and the
question of continuing my educational ministry at Mercy
arises, the conclusion has been
clear—Mercy is where I want to be.
It is a community of committed,
talented people striving always to
provide the best for each of our
students. Mercy people—students,
staff, parents, alumnae--take care
of each other in ways large and
small. – Maureen Davis, director of
Maureen Davis curriculum, AP calculus, pre-calculus,
calculus teacher
Principal Carolyn Jaworski shares from the faculty, staff,
and students, “Thank you for letting us share in your joy
and your victories. This has been a fun and a wonderful
time for all of us associated with the ‘Mercy World!’
You have made us all very proud!”
