Notes for MARY P. CHANDLER:
Unidentified Newsclipping - 1872
Mrs. Mary P., wife of Jacob H. MILES, died at Ellsworth, St. Lawrence County, New York, August 9,
1872, in the 49th year of her age. She in connection with her husband, experienced religion about
twelve years since, under the labors of Rev. W. H. HAWKINS, and they together immediately united
with the Methodist Episcopal Church, walking in its communion and fellowship until she was
removed by death. Her sufferings were protracted and severe, being produced by rheumatism and
heart disease, of which she finally died. But she died like a Christian, and rests from her labors. She
has left an
aged mother, a husband, son and daughter, to mourn below, while she rejoices above. May they all
meet in heaven. Rufus E. KING
West Stockholm, St. Lawrence County, New York
