Mitsubishi Heavy Industries has made a giant leap forward in air
conditioning and heat pump technology, with the development of high
performance FD Series split systems for commercial application: offices,
shops, meeting rooms, restaurants, hotels, clubs, gyms, and open plan areas.
The Advanced FDTA Cassette range has now been extended to include new small
capacity INVERTER systems starting at 1.8kW/2.0kW, and an extra high capacity
system 14.3kW/16.2kW at the top end. (figures stated are for cooling/heating
performance.
7-Day Programmable Timer - now included in standard controls specification.
The CoP (Coefficient of Performance) has been dramatically increased,
up to 3.76 on some models. This means the system can deliver 3.76kW of
heating, whilst consuming only 1.0kW of electrical power. This has been
achieved by combining advanced Mitsubishi technology with R410A.

Superior Controls Specification
There has never been a multi function controller
with the advanced sophistication of the new
Mitsubishi RCE1. It combines all the basic user
requirements – temperature setting, fan speed
selection, mode, and timer settings, with a
comprehensive range of service data functions,
inverter compressor speed indication, fault
diagnosis, and operational history.
New Cassette Design: The improved air flow
pattern through the unit, and the new design of
high performance heat exchanger, have resulted
in a pressure loss reduction, allowing the fan
design to be optimised for significantly lower
sound levels. The air discharge louver has been
modified to minimise air smudging on the ceiling
adjacent to the air outlets.
Cassette units can be installed as single systems,
or as multi systems, i.e. twin/triple/quad indoor
units connected to one outdoor unit - ideal for
large open plan areas, or irregular shaped rooms.
