About 30 years ago, in 1978, Brunello Cucinelli chose the village
of Solomeo as the headquarter of his humanistic company. It was
here, in this medieval village, close to Perugia, where the wind
gently carries the spirituality of San Benedetto, where he created
a new concept of work: the typical values of the Benedectine
doctrine, as Respect, Morality and Devotion, became the values
with which Brunello Cucinelli likes to describe his business
philosophy, based on his desire to “let the work be more human
by considering the worker as the most important aspect”.
He realized very early, that only superb quality would set him apart
from his competitors and he was the first who dyed cashmere in
all the colors of the rainbow and started with a new trend.
