■ 13 ■ Building Partnerships to Solve Problems Teens who are struggling with major mental illness or substance abuse can have significant difficulty functioning in school. Their families, too, are often in crisis. With support from the Brookline Community Foundation, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Blue Cross Blue Shield Foundation, The Brookline Community Mental Health Center and Brookline High School staff created the Brookline High-Risk Youth Taskforce (BHRYT) Program, which provides specialized counseling, tutoring and other support for teens and their families.
